Using your analogy, it is apparent that twowarm falls into the later category. twowarm seems to have access to a good amount of reading material from which there is a sizeable amount of "copy and paste".

For someone that would like others to believe that they immerse herself in reading and current events, it is regrettable that she is so allows herself to say such hateful things. Another thing that saddens me is that members as well as her "friends" turn a blind eye and allow this bad behavior to continue.

I think blacks are treated better than whites these days but since I dont know anything about other locations because Ive never been anywhere, I will just say where I am blacks are treated better when they live in a black run city town state etc wherever. Those who dont live near blacks do not know what its like for those who do. And i notice all white people who have money live in exclusively white areas. Why is that? That’s human nature. You tend to protect your own first. It’s not right, every one should be treated the same, but that’s life. Rich white people live in areas that reflect their wealth and status. But, so do blacks. Here, in Miami, some of the swankier residences belong or belonged to NBA stars and where in the very best neighborhoods. I believe being well off is not a bad thing but too much money generally corrupts that individual. They start to think they can push people around and think they are entitled to whatever they want. That, too, is life. I’ve worked most of my life dealing with people in a fairly intimate way and all I can say is that most people are decent, law abiding, family people. Circumstances sometimes makes them bitter, unfriendly, or uncaring. And I understand why. Thank you SherryAnn for sharing your thoughts with me.

I believe in pick your poison, but I mentioned that only because very rich whites are always the first ones to complain about "racism" and claim to be the only ones who arent racist, but not a one of them live in diverse areas, hence they can't claim to know about diverse people unless they're exposed to them. Intermingling occurs naturally. The rich person goes to a five star restaurant and is something he does on a regular basis. A person of modest means saves to go to that same restaurant but not very often. They are there at the same time. A black college student goes to the same college a white student does. One uses a government loan the other pays cash. They are not being forced. So, what is your point?

Phart, I owe you an apology. I went too far. You are not scum and it was the furthest thing from my mind. I’ll try to explain. I’m rabid about guns. I believe guns have made this country one of the most dangerous in the world. Now, follow this. The mentality of “The Marlboro Man” as pushed by Hollywood is a heroic view of the American macho man. Every little kid wants to be The Duke. While this is popular in most of the country, nowhere is it as strong as in the land of the Confederacy. Those southern states where the honor of those descendants of the Confederacy believe ownership of firearms is a must to prove they are macho and noble. And, by far, what is their politics? Conservatism, good old Republicanism, or maybe, their religion.
I understand people wanting to honor their ancestors but these ancestors should be deserving of being honored. If you tell me these ancestors fought in WWII against the Nazi or fought in Nam against the Vietcong then I see it. Telling me these people are honoring traitors that tried to overthrow the government of my country? No! Would you support the idea that the descendants of the Nazi SS honor them by flying the Nazi flag? Maybe in Peoria, Illinois? I don’t think so.
So, what do I have to color my views? The Confederacy, guns, tabaco chewing “macho” men with an old fashioned idea that blacks and Latins are lazy and like to riot and steal while they live off the Federal Tit, and that women don’t know the facts of life, open their legs to any ding-a-king that presents itself and abortion is their method of birth control.
That, Phart, is why I have the views I have. I know, I paint with a broad brush, but, tell me, convince me, why what I’ve said is not true.

It would be a loosing battle to convince you of a different mindset. Just as it would be for you to convince me to consider my ancestors and those of my friends and neighbors traitors. At that time, they were defending their homeland and way of life that was the only way they have ever known. Wokeness and equity was unheard of at that time. Once word of shermans actions got around ,most southerners were ready to fight, the issues we are told the war was based on were irrelevant to them. Strength is in numbers as in the Confederate army instead of going at it alone.

Yesterday, Kyle Rittenhouse — who had been charged with five felonies, including shooting and killing two people, and injuring another — was found not guilty.

This verdict is a perversion of justice. Our nation is built on laws—not vigilantism. Murder, racism, and hate-fueled violence should be condemned, not celebrated. Too often, our legal system protects the right of white Americans to take the lives of others, especially people of color. Kyle Rittenhouse wielded his whiteness as a shield and his AR-15 as a weapon in the streets of Kenosha, where police officers thanked the self-styled militia members, including Rittenhouse, and let him walk away after killing two people.

Rittenhouse also benefited from our country’s weak gun laws. The gun lobby argues that everyone will be safer if we all arm ourselves, but this extremist idea is neither supported by most Americans nor any evidence.

As the tragic events on that night in August showed, a 17-year-old arming himself with an AR-15 makes no one safer. Rather than roll back gun safety laws, as the gun lobby is pushing the Supreme Court to do, we must strengthen gun laws that protect us all. Laws like minimum age requirements and assault weapon regulations don’t infringe on the Second Amendment—they’re commonsense protections. At the same time, extreme Stand Your Ground laws that encourage people to shoot first and ask questions later must be repealed.

Yesterday’s verdict sends a troubling message that will encourage further vigilante violence and murder. That is not a society in which we are safe or free. Rather than accept this version of America, we recommit to doing everything in our power to make this country safer.
