I may be updating to a smart cell phone so I can use it's hotspot ability for more internet.
The salesman was shocked i wanted to continue to have texting blocked on it if I update.
There is alot of studies out there now that have shown texting and such has really took a toll on human interaction.
It is said that college roommates are having trouble dealing with problems as they do not know how to actually TALK to each other.
I know for along time folks actually text each other at a dinner table or something.To lazy to breath a little more air I guess to talk.?

I thought the same thing about my I phone. Just takes a little time to learn the basics. Not sure I want more then that from my phone. Takes a good picture and I finally learned how to send photos via text. My daughter helps me thru the rough spots. Phart.

Thankfully in SC you don't have to reveal your id if you win.This will help a little in keeping the persons life more normal.
That is a lot of money to manage.And honestly,if a person is not careful the folks they hire to manage it will shit them out of it over time. Sad.

True it will help not to have to reveal your identity. But I am sure his/her family members will eventually find out. It would be very difficult to near impossible to keep such amount of money hidden from relatives.

And yes, with that kind of money you will be spending all your time watching the folks you hire to manage it.

When Colorado started it's first lottery the very first winner of the million dollar jackpot ended up broke and living in poverty. You had no choice but to take it in installments at that time. He mismanaged his money, spent it on all kinds of things, he was sued for being behind in his **** support payments.

After about a year he eventually had to sell off his remaining jackpot winnings, I think, for a measly $50k and that went to payoff other things. He eventually ended up moving to Las Vegas and living in a old trailer and on government assistance.

In Canada, Lotto Max tops out at $60 Million then any more money gets won in one million dollar prizes (Max Millions). This week it's one prize of $60M and about 55 other prizes of $1 Million.
All of these winnings are tax free.

Indeed and probably a lot easier for folks to manage the winnings. But human nature as it is, most waste it instead of investing it and end up broke and in worse economic shape then before they won.

Here in the US folks are financially ignorant and few even have a clue as to how to save and invest for their future. Too many of them live from paycheck to paycheck.

An interesting thing has happened regarding my pre paid premium membership with SYD/SYC. It expired today and I'm on vacation, no problem because this is all taken care of via credit, right? Seems to be a SNAFU.

As indicated, the cost of a 90 reoccurring membership is $34.95 but I suspect that the technology recognizes that I'm in Europe and wants to charge me $34.95 EU rather than $34.95 USD. When I select that I want to pay in USD, the price becomes $38.05.

Yes, probably so but I am an American citizen, with a IP located in the United States. I am only on a vacation and my stay here is only temporary. I don't understand why the option to pay initally pops up as € 34.95 and when I select USD, the charge converts to $38.05. Any thoughts?

If you are in Europe you will probably be showing a European IP address....but I'm guessing the exchange rate is calculated at the time of purchase...so as you're in Europe at present it will show euros,but your card is American so the system would probably adjust to dollars from euros...

I have not checked this out but I would not have thought that Michigan had the same climate as your destinations. I just checked and it should definitely be warmer but possibly wetter.

I think you will find the temperature maybe over 60. I just looked and the average range for barcelona in october is 63 -72 degrees.
