The jury and guest in the court house heard alot in this case that we haven't. So All we can do go forward.
I will admit,I think it is tragic that race keeps getting brought up in this case.
Drop race from it, a man was killed,if everyone is to be equal and blah blah blah to qoute ol greta thurburg, then the media should stop mentioning race.
It was a frigid day and food was scarce. There was no Whole Foods, Tavern on the Green, or in the case of Cat, no check on the first of the month.
All was not lost. I was like hey Mr. Indian! Give me two of those turkeys, stuffing, mash potatoes, and a pie! By the way, have you ever tried alcohol?
And you to Bella
It's the topic on which Republican Glenn Youngkin won the Virginia governor's election over from Democrat Terry McAuliffe. Granted, Terry McAuliffe is also a boring, useless corporate sellout, so he had nothing to offer the people of Virginia.
It's another stupid culture war, but it's very effective on stupid people.
CRT is NOT TAUGHT in elementary school, middle school or high school.
CRT is an academic study at the undergraduate and graduate level.

This Anti-CRT Crusader Can't Even Define It:

He is talking about the idea of Equity vs Equality harming kids.
He's also talking about Culturally Responsive Training being harmful.
(Culturally Responsive Training: Cultural responsiveness requires individuals be cultural competent. This competency is having an awareness of one's own cultural identity and views about difference, and the ability to learn and build on the varying cultural and community norms of students and their families.)
That means they want teachers to NOT BE IGNORANT BIGOTS and nothing more.
Probably, stupid people are confusing the one CRT (not be a bigot training) with
the other CRT (academic study at the undergraduate and graduate level).
IS THIS WHAT REPUBLICANS ARE SO FUCKING MAD ABOUT? DAMN!

It is so strange how on 1 hand we are being "convinced" there is no such thing as race. But on the other hand they want to teach race theory?
Even roads are being called racist now. Part of that so called infrastructure bill is meant to tear out roads and bridges that were put thru black neighborhoods to "reunite " them. And to remove a "wall" from between whites and blacks.
What a crock of shit. Replacing a perfectly good road or bridge for that reason? The shortest route was usually chosen for a road, so let's cut down on emissions by making a much longer route so the blacks can have empty lots to throw their garbage on. I have worked in a big city and I know what these places look like that are being talked about and the reason for the filth is not the road.
Now if this was a dad and 2 kids, well duh ,of course the dad would willing say "here son, stand on this".
But if they were total strangers and the parents of the small 1 just didn't offer a stool, then the kid would just have to keep looking thru the crack.
Now ,in the second 1, that Admin posted,I noticed what actually happens in real life being depicted.
Instead a volunteering of a stool or parents doing the right thing, someone comes along with a chainsaw and cuts their legs off so that they will forever be "equal". No matter how hard they work or never worked because of lack of incentive to "get that better view".
Now, what apparently everyone is missing from BOTH pairs of Meme's is the fact that the 3 people are standing OUTSIDE of the fence looking in. Are they to cheap to buy tickets? If so, they are technically stealing. But,I know, the liberals think stealing is a soft crime not worthy of punishment.
There will always be inequality or what some perceive as such.IF everyone wakes up in the morning equal,in money, education and so on,what is the incentive to improve 1's self? If you can't look up and see the next person doing better than you and be motivated by that to improve yourself and make it to that level.?
Unequal wage? could it be the male shows up for work each day and the woman takes more time off for child related issues?
Could it be the female makes more rest room visits a few times a month reducing productivity?
Just ideas that could be the issues that people are considering when wages are decided.
Wage inequality could be due to lower academic levels. If you have a employee with a bachelors degree and 1 with a associate degree, obviously the bachelor degree is worth more money. Color is still a issue with some people because affirmative action is still on the books.Allow employers to hire qualified folks for jobs, not have to hire a certain number of 1 race or the other.
Do you like to 'Make America Great Again'?
Then why call every idea to improve life; a fantasy?
That's not going to make America great (ever again).
Or do you think inequality makes America great?
What do you even mean by 'working to your potential'? Are you so offended by the idea that working is not the main goal in life?
When you say 'take care of the people', I hear gagging sounds. The governments are our representatives. The people elect them to do what is best for the people. That's what we pay taxes for. I want our government to use that money to give people the support they need to optimize their benefit to society, while optimizing their quality of life.
Why would you even want to hear again about everything that is better in
my country. You either don't think those things are better or you don't think people deserve it.
is more than capable of providing that. The only reason that society is not providing that, is that we allow greedy people to be parasites on society. They are milking society dry, because people like you believe their propaganda.
The rich have not been working harder than you, they have just benefited
from the socialism for the rich. When they fuck-up and their business fails, they get bailouts, bonuses and tax-cuts. You get nothing.
It's exactly the other way around, by allowing the parasites to exploit people, we need to prevent the victims from dying, with food programs and homeless shelters, PAYED WITH YOUR TAXES!
It won't cost any taxes, if we just force employers to pay their employees enough to live on.
and if 2warmcat reads that she will be so happy ,I hope she does not experiance a heart attack.
I had seen that picture many times, but I never saw children. I just posted it,
because it's such a well known one.
Maybe the one below is more clear:
It is fantasy to think everyone can be exactly equal.
Does EVERY citizen need a college education? Does every citizen have the iq to handle or benifit from a college education? NO. You can't change that.
We have k thru 12 education for all kids now that is paid for by the taxpayer. Even those that don't have kids ,which is totally unfair.
Are ALL the kids making straight A's? NO. Are all the kids actually trying to learn? NO. Are all the parents encouraging their kids to do their best? NO.
So why pay for MORE of the same thing that is NOT helping everyone?
Can you eat a extra large pizza 3 meals a day? Probably not,so why have them delivered? similar princiable to this equity thing
However, if a smart person cannot have an education, because of unequal opportunities, like being poor, than they CANNOT MAXIMIZE their potential.
That has devastating effects on society in the long run.
And what ARE those devastating effects? Poverty?
Then look at countries who redistribute income of those who are 'better' than them.
I also don't like how you use 'better'. If you think successful people in your country have more value than people who struggle, than I question your morality.
>Then look at countries who redistribute income of those who are 'better' than them.
I lived in USSR and people were running out of it to the countries that redistribute income to those who are 'better'. Not the other way around. And yes, it had poverty you can't even imagine.
>I also don't like how you use 'better'. If you think successful people in your country have more value than people who struggle, than I question your morality.
In that sentence I meant 'better' as in "more productive". It's stupid to think that there are absolute kind of "better". It's all relative. It's better to be able to accumulate fat if you live in wilderness, it's better to burn food inefficiently when you live in abundant technological society. Also, morality is just a shared illusion that usually accommodates to the circumstances. Tribe of cannibals has very different morality than society you live in, but it's valid in their circumstances. Change circumstances and morality will change. Efficiency, however, is quite scientific measurement.
First of all, socialism and communism are completely different.
Second, the USSR never implemented communism correctly and certainly not socialism. They never ascended from a dictatorship.
Third, the USSR had a period of relative equality, but they broke their system with authoritarianism and hostility to the rest of the world. They finally lost to their people revolting and the rest of the world uniting against them.
Even 'more productive' is debatable. The rich have much more opportunity to improve their life and themselves, but they can be terribly destructive. They are the owners of banks responsible for millions of toxic mortgages, causing evictions. Or they destroy their employee's pensions, when they run their company into the ground, but still pay themselves big bonuses. Or they make their miners work unprotected, so they all die of lung cancer. That's not productive at all.
"Change circumstances and morality will change." Give people the opportunity
to exploit other people and they will think they are moral to do so.
Teach the whole population that exploitation is moral and people will believe
that it's necessary and any other way is just a fantasy.
>Teach the whole population that exploitation is moral and people will believe that it's necessary and any other way is just a fantasy.
Again, in USSR the whole population was teached that exploitation is IMMORAL. It did not make the difference you think it would. If anything, it made things worse.
But I think it's telling that you think it does.
Do you even understand the difference between communism and socialism?
I would be amazed if you could explain it correctly.
You are referring to the principles of Karl Marx. The USSR used the rhetoric
of Karl Marx, but almost none of his principles.
Equity or even equality only have a chance when the citizens are in power.
The USSR and other states used as examples of communism and socialism by right-wingers, ALL NEVER provided any power to its citizens. Whatever they called their system, a corrupt authoritarian regime will never provide equality.
The system that approaches equality the most is social democracy / democratic socialism. Scandinavian countries are the best examples. They are successful in creating the most equality on the most topics. However, many other countries provide partial equality on specific opportunities. Many have equality in either one or more subjects, like education, healthcare, child care, access to justice, access to housing, access to financial products, job (advancement) opportunities, voting rights, political influence and workers rights, by law and or in practice.
That's real evidence that it can be implemented.
'education at home'? That's not a concept we know here.
If your parents are poor, your chances at advanced education are nil, unless you are a brilliant student or athlete. Rich kids can just go and have less pressure of wasting their parents money.
You can blame anyone, but it's just a fact that children of rich parents can get
a better education than children of poor parents.
That's just one part of the inequality.
It is also very strange that for decades k thru 12, or really 1 thru 12, was a plenty for any man to get thru with a good life. How many college educated men and women were there in the 50's and 60's? Not nearly as many as there are now. BUT Most anyone that was willing work had a Chevy and a home and a family. Now they want to flip burgers, go to college on my and your dime, and drive a bmw
Funny, but complete nonsense.
It benefits society, if everyone can maximize their potential.
A smart poor black guy working at McDonald's to pay for the medicine for his sick mother, is not maximizing his potential.
Society could pay for medicine and education and then that smart poor black guy could study engineering or biochemistry and do something more productive than selling unhealthy food.
P.S. And it does not have anything to do with color by the way. Stop fixating on it.
There are many working implementations in place. Even the US has some.
NOT PERFECT is not the same as NOT EXISTING.
I don't imagine, I observe!
Color is not the main issue, it's systemic unequal opportunity.
A rich black person has much more opportunities than a poor white person.
That doesn't mean color has NO meaning. Discrimination exists.
In your picture of the tree and ladders. There the illustrator is assuming that both people want a apple. The illustrator is also assuming that both are WILLING to do what it takes to get a apple ,if it requires climbing the ladder.
I see it slightly different. I know, imagine that? But anyway, the 1 that can't reach the tree, if they were smart ,or if they wanted a apple bad enough, they would go get a ladder, a stick or some type of tool to make it happen .OR they would simply climb the tree and sit on a limb and eat to their hearts content. Wanting the apple get the apple. Wanting the apple is supposed to INSPIRE ingenuity and creativity.
IN reality, that alternate to fantasy land, 2 people are at the tree and only 1 gets the apple, and the other person sits back and waits for a 3rd party to intervene and help them get the apple. Therefore reinforcing the "can't do" or "won't do" attitude so many people are instilled with today.
Both pictures refer to inequality. There is inequality, when there is a systemic difference in opportunity between groups of people. That inequality is mostly apparent between the groups of rich people vs poor people.
You are more talented than Donald Trump Jr.. You may take that as a compliment, but it is a low bar. However Donald Trump Jr. is wealthy and you are not.
Did you have a "can't do" or "won't do" attitude?
Or do you acknowledge that Donald Trump Jr. had more opportunity than you, because his grandfather left his father a shitload of money?
But to expect him to give up what was left to him by his grandfather or what he may have earned himself, to make me equal to him is stealing from him.
Is that what you see as a solution? take from him to give to me?
Would I be "better off" , Sure, but how do you think he would feel? Do you think he would continue to invest and take chances with money if he knew I was going to reap his earnings? NO.
equal OPPORTUNITY to maximize their POTENTIAL.
Do you really not understand? It's not a difficult concept.
You said it yourself; it's not their fault!
Rich kids didn't earn anything yet.
Poor kids didn't do anything to deserve punishment yet.
So why should it make that much of a difference?
Whether advance education is suitable for a child should depend on their intelligence and interests, not on their parents' wallet. Or the rich kid has an advantage.
A rich parent can hire a nanny, for when they are out making money, so a poor person needs free or affordable day-care, for when they working to support their survival. If not, the rich kid has another advantage in OPPORTUNITY over the poor kid.
The only thing the rich people need to do is pay some more taxes, so things like education and child care are free at the point of use. They then can make use of those same free services too. And they also benefit from a society where all people have OPPORTUNITY to maximize their POTENTIAL.
Here I was at a place where blacks were able to go to get a higher education and it looked more like a homeless shelter that a tornado had went thru. Men PISSING on the stairs? I mean ,really? What good is a higher education ,free or expensive, provided to anyone of any race with the mentality of placing no value on sanitation or anything?
We didn't keep equipment in there very long as vandalism and theft cost us way more than we made and we removed our equipment.
Granted, this was years ago, but I just drove by that very building over the weekend and it looks the same outside as it did then. trash along the side walks.
We have schools like that too. Some of them were shut down, some of them got their leadership replaced. In most cases that really helps. What doesn't help is giving up on them.
For what I read about it, that school sucked.

Your argument is that they are animals and it's a waste of money to try improve them. It will be your horrible world to live in, when you think giving up on people will improve anything.
A few years ago, an economical consultancy calculated the investment returns for education on society. It showed, among other things, that a college diploma at level 2 entails more than 90,000 euros in social benefits, with an investment of less than 30,000 euros. The return is even better as the level of education rises. At college levels 3 and 4, the social benefits even amount to 120,000 euros. So in fact, 2.80 euros are earned for every euro invested in education.
Here is the thing. Some people just are not capable of great things. Some people's iq levels do not allow for great potential. does that mean give up on them? No. it means provide work for them that is within their abilities. So you can't design a new car .But you can operate 1,so drive a taxi, make a living. So you are not able to get into harvard, get a job with the university washing windows and make a living.
No one should be left behind, people just need to grasp reality and understand not everyone is a rocket scientist.
And those that are capable, are smart enough to beat most odds.
I was a electronics geek in high school. My grades were a couple b's and c's. Not great."oh but you need to go college and get a degree in electronics". So I did but my math skills suck. I was taught how to troubleshoot ,by the time I graduated, most stuff was "modules" and boards and very little demand for that. I wound up in a totally unrelated line of work and electronics is still a hobby.
Is it then just because women are working now, is it laziness or is it something else?
How do you explain that a family in the 70's could do well when only the father worked in a factory and that's not the case anymore?
Ever heard how productivity has risen since the 70's?
So where does all that extra profit go now?
Unless you operate like china ,everything owned by the government.
1 question. Where does the equity thing matter the most?
Here in the US or world wide?
If you tried to make the same opportunity's for the entire world you would NEVER accomplish it. Kids in Africa, there is NO way to give them the same opportunity's that someone in san fransisco would have for a college education.NO way except to take everyones money world wide, everyones wealth in general, and evenly distribute it. that is the only way you would COME CLOSE to equity. And in 6 months, most of the money and assets would be right back in the hands of those that had it before.Because they know what to do to earn it,and KEEP IT and grow it.
The higher the number, the higher the inequality.
The worst unequal country in the world is South Africa with 63%
The USA is currently at 41.4%
The Netherlands is 28.1%
only registered users can see external links
It would take a massive effort to get Africa up to our levels, but what would help a lot is stop stealing from them. We are taking their resources and their money and as thanks we are leaving them with lots of pollution. The hands that are holding them in poverty are Europe, China and the USA.
"I would assume the profits go to the investers of the company. Without them, there is no company."
If you are referring to shareholders, when you say investors, you should do some research on the differences. There are many companies without shareholders, there are even companies that are fully owned by the employees. The value of shareholders for a company is wildly overrated. You can best see it like a loan with a very high interest rate. It starts out as investment money, but it is ownership. I'm profiting of that system personally, but I realize it's a parasitic system favoring the owner class.
Who are much more vital to companies? Customers; the middle class. When the middle class is hurting, so are companies. But it will probably require a massive crash, before people realize.

It's depicting systemic racism, but it's also depicting the unequal changes of poor vs rich.
I know you're OK with children of poor parents having a harder time to make something of their life than children of rich parents, but do you cannot deny that it exists.
Rich parents can pay for a good education, poor parents can't. That's inequality.
This is a BLACK person speaking.A educated black person.
I mean, good for you that you found "a educated black person" who agrees with your views, but what makes you think that they are the official spokes-person for all BLACK PEOPLE?
If I look, I am pretty sure that I can find more than one educated WHITE PERSON who disagrees with you.
Does that mean you'll accept that you are wrong?
