I hate nuclear and I am glad that a plant is being decommissioned. They are dangerous to 1000's of people and if they go boom, they ruin 1000's of acres of land forever.
BUT if you are going to close down a power plant knowing the grid is already strained, you should have planned for replacement first or even better ,a upgrade in capacity.
With the greenie's like Aoc wanting to plug in their cars to drive, 1 more prius or tesla may be what it takes to shut down a entire states power grid for days. real smart people, real smart.

It's sounds like we can all agree with Cat that we support the stoppage of sales of military grade weapons, fully automatic, high powered high round rifles. I will not argue with that. I think most states have and will make this happen. But I go back to my original statement. Mass murders can be accomplished multiple ways. Cars, bombs, airplanes, and so on. History has proved this. Now does a automatic high round weapon make it easier yes. Everyone acts like they've forgotten the Twin Towers, the Boston Marathon, and multiple cars and trucks being driven into crowds. My handgun that I carry daily carries 12 rounds and 1 in the chamber as well as a spare 15 round clip that I also carry. That's 27 rounds in a small 9 millimeter pistol. How many could I kill with my gun that is concealed on my body? Yes stop the selling of those auto rifles. But now that there are millions of them in population, there's not much you can do. Hell the country could ban all AR 15's and they would still be plentiful on the streets for another 100 years. Now that the proof of the mass shootings according to some ( auto assault rifles) is there and never going away. What do we do. Keep bitching about gun laws. Or secure the fucking schools like we have airports, amusement parks, sport stadiums, Nuclear power plants, Disney World, and other venues. Put walls around our schools. Put officers at entrances in the morning and afternoon. Lock all the fucking doors with fire alarms opening all doors outward. Put metal detectors at the main entrance. This is what will save our babies and grandbabies. I live in South Florida and listened to the Parkland parents cry when their children were killed. But they were one of the first schools that turned down any of these preventative tools. Stating that they didn't want their children feel like they were in jail. I'd rather my child be safe and feel like he's in jail than for him to have a bullet in his chest. Let's put blame where it should be. You never going to fix the gun problem. So why don't we treat our schools like we have everything else after 9/11. Spend your time and money on fixing the problems at schools. Stop wasting your time on gun laws. The guns will never go away. We secure god damn casinos and movie theaters better then we do our fucking schools. Spend your time crying to Congress, your Senators, and that piece of shit we call a president to spend MONEY to keep these babies alive. No fucking budget is worth babies dying for.

Someone should have followed up on these threats months ago. BEFORE he bought a gun ,Before anyone died.
You see, tragedy is most likely preventable with systems that are already in place and could easily be put in place without affecting the gun rights of sane people.

Is it only me or does it bother anyone else when members make disparaging remarks with regard to another's sexuality or religious beliefs?

Regarding the Uvalde, Texas mass shootings, this is a memory that no 9 or 10 year old child should have to recall and live with.

Not to change the subject but, here in s. Florida it's so hot and humid, my cars ac went caboom so I took it to the nearest Chevy dealership, ( Ed morse Chevrolet ) they wanted to charge me $1500.00, I said I'm not ready to do that yet, so this morning I went to Goodyear in Davie, left my car with them, they just called me to pick my car up. The charge was $58.39. Yes, a place that doesn't try to scam you to fix your car right, didn't think there was any place left around like that
