I've seen this mentioned on cable television somewhere, but didn't think much about it.

As a massive lover of Doggies, most animals really. This just doesn't appeal to me at ALL! In my opinion, it further illustrates that some people just have too much money.

Although I haven't seen the documentary you speak of, when you see the numbers they can be a little overwhelming. For sure!

I firmly believe that a vast majority of the problems in our society stem from the home. The fact that so many blindly excuse self control and personal responsibility, and the lack of teaching those principles to their children. The constant blaming AND acceptance that it's always someone else's fault as to why people are bad. The INSISTENCE of taking personal responsibility and control of one's own actions, destiny, is just TOO much to demand from our society. The whole mess could EASILY be solved by one very simple statement...

QUIT BREAKING THE LAW AND RULES ASSHOLES!!

At 83 years old, we have lost one of the last true all American country singers. A true American to the core. A man who asked everyone to rise and remove their hats, cover their chest with their hand, and say the Pledge of Allegiance with him before every show. What I've begun noticing when making a selection to watch on Netflix, when the intro plays, it may say violence, strong language, partial nudity, etc, it now alerts viewers that SMOKING is depicted. I don't smoke, I don't have young children or grandchildren to consider but I don't think that I would say, "sorry, little ones, you can't watch this", based on the smoking warning. 😳

The "warnings" are placed on the programs so you can make a conscious choice as to whether you want to view based on some of the questionable content. I understand that some folks might not be interested in nudity, partial or not, some folks might not appreciate offensive language but I've never heard of anyone saying, YIKES! I'm not going to watch this or allow the kids to watch this because.....the characters are smoking cigarettes, bud or whatever!

I was just going to post that the cover of the original Abbey Road vinyl album had a cigarette in Paul McCartney's hand and that if you look at the image on modern Abbey Road covers there is no cigarette.

There are still many communities within Canada that prohibit the sale or consumption of alcohol. These are usually Indigenous communities and the reason is usually because many of them have high unemployment rates and rampant alcohol abuse which of course leads to a whole myriad of crime related issues. They are referred to as dry communities and are usually in northern Canada.

It's a funny thing, there are several members that shoot barbs at her and she uses that/justifies that to insult me. I have no idea what prompts her but I'm tired of it and I'm tired of seeing her refer to me as a "bitch". If she feels that way it would only seem logical and if she had an ounce of common sense, that she/we could avoid each other. It's obvious that she has no common sense so I made the decision for "us". With one tick of the box, POOF, she's gone!
