Look at the situation afghanistan had a government, it's people had some freedom,etc. The US decides time to pull out and it was curtains. Everywhere we have tried we have failed.
I have heard a lot of talk about the West failing the Afghans but we spent 20 years and billions of dollars and thousands of lives trying to instill democracy into a county that is tribal and has always proved a graveyard for outsiders.
the best question being asked now is 'If not now, when?' How long would we have needed to stay to make this country safe and 'democratic' - no one knows and more lives would have been lost for a country where large portions of the population do not want us there.
let's not make this political - the 45the president negotiated the agreement with the Taliban and set the withdrawal date initially for May 1st. The current President decided to honour that agreement and withdrawal is supported by a large portion of the US population - the chaos there now is due to the local forces melting away and not doing what they had been trained by us to do.
Biden will suffer the backlash I am sure but every president from 2001 has responsibility and I am so very impressed that there has been no negative commentary from any of the previous Presidents. They all share the blame along with other Western politicians.
You can't run now. There is a fire in the forest. The extinguishing efforts spread. Now this fire will go on. How much will you run? Thirdly, has America failed miserably in geopolitics? There is more need to think rather than win with arguments.
Fourthly, what will be the difference in the coming time in the world community? Will only the people of Afghanistan face the Taliban terrorist organization alone? No it will be stronger now. Its direct impact will be in the big economies of America, Britain and India. And it will affect the people. China has support for the Taliban. It won't matter to him.
Fifth , I am sorry for Joe Biden followers. Trump was good in this areas. see afghani women and children future.
Sixth, America was also the one who raised the Taliban. The US had previously strengthened the Taliban to prepare their ground in Eurasia. Later this Taliban became America's biggest enemy. Don't forget 9/11 and Osama bin Laden.
So if we made a few million some how, it got buried somehow.
A foot should have never touched the sand in that country 20 years ago .Bombs ,bombs and more bombs should have been used.

After all, who created the Taliban? The US had raised the Taliban against Russia.
After this, the Taliban itself became an enemy of America. Learn more and understand the politics. Today, because of America, the world and Afghanistan are facing the Taliban. This is 100% true.
I also don't think staying there another 20 years would have mattered.
And why didn't you get out before? Because your country spent that 80 billion at the military industrial complex. War means great profits for a few unscrupulous men.
And those unscrupulous men make sure to be very friendly with your politicians. If you want to throw more bombs on Afghanistan, they would be happy to sell them to you.
In any case, living in Afghanistan will not be much different from living in Saudi Arabia, one of your best friends, who supports the Taliban.
