As a "staunch" liberal I realize people don't make the right choices. But, I can tell you I don't believe in legalization of hard drugs. I believe pot is no worse than hard liquor. Do I want my grand kids to use pot? Never.
As far as the flag flying in the background, I'm not ashamed of my country's flag. Our flag represents the good of this country and it's people. Atrocities come in all shapes and sizes. Hiroshima was an atrocity but, it save a lot of American boys.
You keep saying America is systematically racist. I know it's not. There's just a element that is afraid what ever little or much they have will be taken away and they are scared. Mexicans entering our country illegally, blacks getting food stamps, liberals (like me) wanting free or almost free health care .

But of course. My Mom had a bad time when she had my older brother. By luck it happened NY. One of her nurses was a bitch and mistreated her. She was black. To her dying day she hated blacks. Was it right? No. All white people are not racist and all black people are not law abiding but society as a whole must strive to be less racist and more law abiding.
