I just heard on the news that since the start of the Ukrainian war 200,000 Ukrainian citizens have come to Canada. We already had a large Ukrainian population, particularly on the prairie provinces.
I work with a woman from Ukraine who brought her to young children to my city to live with her sister. She sure is pleasant and upbeat considering her husband and father are home trying to save their country.
She has worked with me for five months now and I’ve been teaching her to cook and speak English, both of which she is pretty good at now.
Wow that was a expensive screw up.On the news a while back I heard about a womans house being torn down without authorization. and the company that did it did not do anything to make it right.
Honestly, probably first instinct would be to take it home and be happy.Spend it slowly over time for grocerys and used items for cash and live a better life for it.
But I have a conscience so taking it to police would be the action taken BUT I would have written records as if the item-cash is not claimed in a certain time frame it goes back to finders keepers. they are supposed to return it to the person who found it.
BUT this man did what was right.
I wonder why the guy bypassed turning found property over to his employer and turned the duffel over to the police? If I left or lost something on public transportation, I probably would reach out to that entity to see if my book, purse, duffel full-o-cash was turned in.
And the conductor was seen on surveillance cameras going through the duffel. Do you think he was honest because he knew that?
Knowing that he did not find any identification that could link him to the owner of the duffel, I guess he did something that I honestly would have had to think long and hard over by turning it in. Just sayin'.....
Being an employee he had to do the right thing but I sure hope he got a reward for it.
To answer your question though, at this point in my life I think I would turn it in and expect a reward. If one wasn’t offered I would ask for it. 10% sounds fair. A few decades ago I probably would have kept it.
Did you see Freddy's new poll? Yeah, he's asked members whether they have been blacklisted, bullied OR both by me. This particular poll has captured the attention of only 3 members; PITBULL, tiit666 and a brand new member, profile established only 2 days ago, Miguelina .

I'm not much of a television watcher however I "found" Shark Tank and rather enjoy watching/listening to it. Yep, I watched season 1 and found that Barbara Cochran wore what appeared to be the same black sheath (aka dress) which was accompanied by the same chunky necklace and earrings. I'm now into season 2 and one of the episodes which aired on 04/08/2011, featured Jeff Foxworthy as a "shark". Really, Jeff Foxworthy, a shark?
There’s a Canadian version of Shark Tank too. It’s called Dragon’s Den. Kevin O’Leary (You can have him) was on it until he moved to Shark Tank.
Some smart people have some pretty good ideas and shows like these give them an opportunity to get their service or product to the market.
I’ve been watching these shows for quite a long time.
Kevin O'Leary comes across like an obnoxious, pompous, condescending jerk. There's been several times that he's said some thing to the effect that if the person did not take the deal that he offered to them, they will be "dead" to him.
That obnoxious, ball-less, pants pissing asswipe, Freddy, took my bait. Yeah, that spinless little fucktard blacklisted me and I since I stay true to myself, I reciprocated and blacklisted him back.
Watch this weak little asshole start crying about being blacklisted and how he's going to "expose" me..... Whatever! --------------------------------------- added after 20 hours
Just as anticipated, Freddy whinged about being blacklisted by me. Freddy, how do I dumb it down for you, a dumb fuck, mongoloid, window licker? When you blacklisted me, I merely reciprocated. Do you even know what reciprocate means? It basically means returning the same way. So, when I received the following notification, I returned the "favor";
Feb 19, 10:18 system: You were blacklisted by PITBULL

sometimes I feel I am living in Jeopardy. Trying to figure out answers to lifes problems. so if i turn on the tv, I am actually trying to take a break from solving problems.
February 14th is Valentine's Day and did it show at the Winn-Dixie in LaBelle! Boy-o-boy the men folk were plentiful and snapping up fresh flowers and flower arrangements! Way to go, fellas!
I posted on my Facebook page last week for all my male friends to make reservations for dinner on that day because she does not want to go to Denny’s on Valentine’s Day. 😄
Well, I don't have to buy any flowers or feed anyone but myself.
When I did have a "valentine" I always bought her live flowers that could be transplanted into the landscaping.
I never could understand 1 particular point about flowers and women.
Let me explain and perhaps you romance experts can fill me on why it makes sense.
Ok so I have a person I love and I want to show them just how much i love them.
So I rush to a store, hastily buy a dozen hybrid, fast growing blooming roses, oh so pretty in their high potency fertilized water. Severed from their vines with snippers, only to wilt and rot in a few days.
To me, this tells a woman this,
Hey, i am a lazy fucker that just stopped by the 5 and dime and grabbed these poor roses that will rot in a few days to show you just how much I love you.
I want our love to last like these roses, grow and be beautiful, only to be cut off and allowed to rot away in a few days.
Ok now that i got my impressions of this tradition typed out, let me explain my thinking on this.
Ok, so i have someone in my life that I love and care about and want to grow old with. I stop at the farm supply and get a big rose bush in a pot costing 25 bucks or so. I bring it home and I give it to my love of my life. I am telling her that I want to put down roots, and I want our relationship to grow and prosper and bloom for all to see and be happy with us.
Your not i get Marcy potted plants that she can later plant in the yard but i also get her 1 long stem 🌹 because she likes to persevere it in wax paper and press it in a book she showed me one i got her 35 years ago and it still has its texture and color oh and a box of chocolates I’m such a romantic
I can see that you love this person and however you want to show your love for her, that is ok. The choice is yours. The main point is not the flowers. The main point is that you love this person so much, you want to give her a present as a token of your love. The cost is irrelevant and so is the length of time it will last.
Now, if you ask me what I like, I find that if my man is bringing me a bouquet of flowers, I don’t want to see a “pot” dangling from the bottom. That’s me and , I’m willing to bet, so do most women.
You know that can't happen, they wouldn't sell more tickets than seats!
My goodness. that's like saying there were more ballots counted than registered voters, can't happen they say!
above said with sarcasm.
honestly,I hope more folks do this to the airlines. The airlines are getting to be dangerous.
doors falling off planes, people shitting in the aisles, and folkes still get on them.
Our friend was bumped from her flight and they only had one the next day, with another airline. Then she also needed to pay $300 extra, for the extra luggage that she had already paid for. She cannot book her compensation claim on-line, because the airline deleted the original flight number. I told her to call the airline, but they only have an Indian back office after working hours, who are unintelligible, and she's always working.
So, never use Brussels Airlines, despite it being much cheaper.
You would think so, but if people do not claim it, they can do whatever they want.
Our friend is not a person who knows her rights and will fight for them.
She has given up already. I'm trying to help, but I cannot do it alone.

They didn't want to fly for the low number of people, so they canceled it.
