I believe it was Immokalee, Florida that was a city primarily known for its casino and produce. What was interesting about this particular city was that there was a community of homes built with the migrant workers in mind and the workers had their own "Farmer's Market" thing going on.

I was going to suggest your grandma was responsible for the decline of the city, but, I’ll be nice. Take a look at this.
What happened in Chicago in the 1920s?
Organized Crime in 1920s Chicago. The long-standing reformist theme of shadowy conspirators seeking "control" of the city and suburbs captured public attention in Chicago and beyond when bootlegging and vice entrepreneurs John Torrio and Al Capone rose to prominence amidst shocking violence.
Al Capone, Mob boss in Chicago, is the most infamous gangster and bootlegger of the Prohibition era. When Chicago Outfit boss Johnny Torrio quit and turned control over to him after the violent “beer wars” in Chicago in 1925, Capone was only 26 years old.
Organized crime emerged because of Prohibition, as it gave gangsters another racketeering operation. Mobsters made millions of dollars every year from bootlegging and running thousands of speakeasies.
What was life like in Chicago in the 1930s? A dark and gloomy time during the Great Depression, many people in the city were unemployed and became dependent on food hand outs in order to get by; many turned to crime as a way to deal with poverty.
Al Capone, byname of Alphonse Capone, also called Scarface, (born January 17, 1899, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.—died January 25, 1947, Palm Island, Miami Beach, Florida), American Prohibition-era gangster, who dominated organized crime in Chicago in the 1920’s and 30’s
And, my Pennsylvanian friend, they were all WHITE.
My grandmother born in the Windy City in 1883 as a little girl she seen the first car to go down the street she ran and hid from it she lived there until she was 16 and got married to my grandfather Levi Graff and moved to his hometown of Lebanon Pennsylvania in1899 way before Capone entered the picture Ethel Graff lived to see 1978 so I got to hear all her stories about the big city

“So wicked was the city's reputation that many saw the Fire of 1871 as divine retribution against a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah. Lawlessness after the conflagration gave no cause for optimism. “The city,” one newspaper reported, “is infested with a horde of thieves, burglars and cut-throats, bent on plunder, and who will not hesitate to burn, pillage and even murder.”
Fire did not bring redemption, and Chicago's reputation darkened in the late 1800s. Violent labor disputes—especially the Haymarket crisis—added to the image of lawlessness. By the 1890s the notorious Levee vice district attracted criticism—and visitors—from around the world. Chicago “makes a more amazingly open display of evil than any other city known to me,” a visitor from London said.”
Baby, let me remind you that The Windy City was destination for most of the cattle stock from the west. The stock yards was a crime magnet.
BUT anyway, I did find this.

For the most part they just shot other gangsters.
And the part you seem to forget ,although you brought it up, is the criminals, in your explanation ,had liquor. Gee, it was ILLEGAL, but they still had it. What did that give them? A profitable edge.
Now, you take away all the honest peoples guns, who will still have them? The 1's that have not respected any of the other million and 2 laws on the books.
What does that give these people?POWER. CONTROL.
Right now the gangs can't take total control, citizens have arms and could stave off a attempt.
Take away the honest mans guns and he won't stand a chance.
Criminals have no respect for any law,why would they suddenly just turn in their guns???????
I just read yesterday that the Vietnamese just bought a huge farm about 15 miles from me. And no 1 with the LLC that bought it will respond to questions from the county,or neighbors.
Someone was reported for posting pics that are not theirs, 5 deletes are visible, but the member is still there.
Why waste server space with fake members?
if 5 deletes no longer gets a fake thrown out, then this place will fill up like a landfill in new york
I feel sure some of it is, "he voted to delete,so I will counteract his delete with a not delete" kinda of a revenge-spite thing.
Abuse gets +1 if you agree and -1 if you disagree. Once it gets -5 or gets older than 10 days the abuse gets deleted as invalid, once it gets +5 the member gets deleted for the violation.
The member has a -3. That means there are 3 more members that believe he should be left alone. Besides, Admin doesn’t care if the member doesn’t claim the pic as being of him.
There were already 3 votes for ABUSE HAS NO GROUND and you and 5 others decide Dadbod43 should be deleted. WHY? YOU were 1 of 5 members who didn't even provide a reason that the member should be deleted. Are you merely a follower? Were you aware that admin does not mind an occasional internet picture as long as the member does not claim it to be their own? Perhaps you are aware of how admin feels but you have a "what the fuck does he know" attitude.
Just an f.y.i., the vote is at -4 and one more ABUSE HAS NO GROUNDS vote and the referral deletion will be dismissed.
Aside from the referring member not providing proof, which in my opinion is an automatic ABUSE HAS NO GROUND, the member in question has 29 pictures in his gallery and yes, 7 are of various women which could be considered "questionable". I use my phones "SEARCH IMAGE THROUGH GOOGLE LENS" option which is always "hit or miss". I did find a match on this picture, /z2wd2yak30g2pic.html but then it goes back to the referring member not providing proof. Also, for me I take into consideration the percentage of internet pictures to real pictures. Roughly speaking, Dadbod43's gallery is 75% him versus 25% not. ALSO, there was only one member who provided a reason to delete with NO PROOF included and the 5 voters thereafter just followed along.
It's always been my gripe that whether people vote to DELETE or vote ABUSE HAS NO GROUND, they should have a reason why the voted the way they voted.

BTW Skinnywank is a male.
And you shouldn't be stealing pics from other members either ,that should be good reason to delete

Look, I’m guilty of doing that too. As Bella says, talk and judicious judgment should be used. It’s why Admin clearly says, “if you don’t have common sense, stay out.”
I have a question. Why is there so much animosity between members? I can see having differences of opinion, even a good row, but, why all these evicerations?
If this is not about me, please, by all means, share your opinion(s).
I don't have any ulterior motive here. I remember when I first got acquainted with the forums, I was apprehensive about participating. Everyone was so on-your-face. Nothing has changed. It is a big mud pit fight. You, honey, are just another contestan and, to my shame, I'm no better any longer. Again, I'm not bitching about you. It's just a general observation. Maybe Cody had the right idea. In any event, and it's probably the last time I'll say it, "You are ok. A bit of a bitch, but ok. Love you, honey. For tonight at least. 🥰🥰❤️🌹
