That 30 MPG was a wet dream for Ford, but, I won't go to the technical. I'll go to my late Dad. He bought a brand new 1961 Ford Falcon, 2 doors, 6 cylinders, in October 1960. His best milage was around 17 MPG. Not that it mattered much. Gas was super cheap.

Time for sex.
I used to know this Asian girl long ago.
Suddenly, I met her again.
Divorced, 2 children, no partner.
I spent hours listening to her and
consoling her, and we ended up having sex
a few times recently.

Real woman, really sweet, real good sex.
I'm now supporting her a bit more.

The fauci files, will the truth come out?
Will people be willing to accept the truth if it turns out the conservatives were right all along?
I doubt it.

Better yet, will you accept it if you are proven wrong?

It would have to be irrefutable proof, as in physical evidence. Another appointed talking head will not be enough .I want to see documents and test results in writing. But I will have to wait 75 years for that. All documents that reference this virus, and the shots made to "fight" it, should be public knowledge since it is being squirted into humans.
By #610414 03,Jan,23 11:57
Why would you have to wait 75 yrs? What do you need? Documents published on the front page of the New York Times? Why can’t you be like the great majority of people that take the words of experts? You have argued against the pandemic being a natural accident and also on the effectiveness/safety of the shots. You have argued that Dr Fauci’s conduct is impeachable. How come you don’t have irrefutable proof of all this? Do we have to believe you? Isn’t this a double standard?

I'm not from US don't really know very well the problems you got in your country except some "headlines" (black life matter, health care system, and some others).

I just believe, by watching some videos on YouTube and listen some of his speeches that US lost a very big opportunity of a huge change when Benny Sanders lost the elections. If Sanders was elected President we would see a big turn in US policies domestic and international. But unfortunately the system is so well organised (not only in US but in all the countries) that wouldn't allow politicians like Sanders take power.

Mate I know history and how in the Waimar republic the Nazis usurped the term and the ideology of socialism and they cover it with a nice cloak of nationalism to take the people with their part and then they done the applied exactly the opposite ideology (capitalism) collaborating with all the big names of the german industry (Krupp family controlled all the german steel, BMW constructed the aircrafts for Lutvaffe, VW cars and wagons, Siemens, Philips, Benz etc) all these were tycoons who collaborated with the Nazis and after the war continued to play major role to the European economy till now. So because someone (Nazis) USED only the name of socialism and took advantage of the financial situation of the german people after the Great War making them believe that they will save him. If they were really socialists they would have nationalize all these big industries but they didn't, they just collaborated with the capitalists right after Hitler took the power and after that it was business as usual. Hitler's financial policy was no different with all the governments in a capitalistic environment. And for your information Hitler wasn't the first to do so. First was Musolini who 15 years before Hitler took power in Italy applying EXACTLY the same plan, first he said to the Italian people "I'm socialist I'm one of you bigger salaries for the workers more money to the farmers..." and then he also collaborated with the big names of the Italian capital.

So if you one day study the theory of Socialism and Marxism you will realise that the policies that these two dictators applied had nothing to do with Socialism or Marxism quite the opposite they applied a raw form of capitalism almost as raw it was during the 80's the policy of Margaret Thatcher's in the UK (go and speak with workers of the 80's in the UK-now in their late 60s 70s) and you will learn what means Thatcher. So if someone during history used ONLY the name of socialism doesn't mean he really applied this theory. Search the relationship that Hitler's government had with the great capital and the tycoons of his era and your will realise tha OUR governments in the modern western world aren't very different from financial POV
By #610414 23,Dec,22 13:56
They were not socialists. They were fascist. Fascists are the total opposite of socialists.
Fascism is a dictatorial form of political ideology. Socialism, on the other hand, is an ideology where individuals of a society own the means of production. A fascist ruler wields supreme power and authority over a country. In contrast, rulers of socialist nations distribute power and authority among the states.
--------------------------------------- added after 8 minutes

Capitalism is based on individual initiative and favors market mechanisms over government intervention, while socialism is based on government planning and limitations on private control of resources. Left to themselves, economies tend to combine elements of both systems. That is what is happening with most democracies of the world including England and the US.

CAT I agree with you if you read my reply you'll see that I write that Hitler like Musolini only USED the name of socialism to manipulate the people and gain their trust BUT the policies they both applied were extremely capitalists and neo-liberalists. It's one thing I USE A NAME OF AN IDEOLOGY AND ANOTHER THING APPLY ITS TRU THEORY.

Phart, I think you've been fooled by the "socialists" part of the German Socialists Party of the 1920s ammd 1930s. Hitler's party.

(Nazism; NS), German political movement led by Adolf Hitler. The notion of combining the concepts of "national" and "social" became popular in Germany before World War I. In 1919 an antisemitic right-wing political party called the German Workers' Party (Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) was founded in Munich; this party adopted the combined "national-social" ideology. In 1920 the party added "National Socialist" to its name and thus became the National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, NSDAP or Nazi Party). A year later Adolf Hitler, a man who started out as a public speaker for the party, became its undisputed leader, or Fuehrer.
The National Socialist ideology was an outgrowth of earlier political theories that also gave birth to fascism--- a political movement that became popular in Italy some years before the Nazis took over Germany. Nazism brought together the ideas of racial anti-semitism (that Jews were inferior by virtue of their race, or genetic makeup), Social Darwinism (that certain individuals or ethnic groups are dominant because of their inherent genetic superiority), and lebensraum (the belief that Germans needed more "living space," i.e. more territory, particularly in Eastern Europe). Nazism also embraced the attitude of total anti-Bolshevism, and demanded revenge against those people--- especially Jews---who, they claimed, had "betrayed" Germany during World War I and caused it to be vanquished by the enemy (see also stab in the back myth).
During its first three years of existence, the Nazi Party was mainly active in Bavaria. However, its members used emotional appeals and violence to attract many new members. On November 8--9, 1923 Hitler attempted to take over the Bavarian government, but failed. The Nazi Party was outlawed and Hitler was thrown into jail. During his nine months in prison, Hitler penned much of Mein Kampf (My Struggle), a book that would soon become the National Socialist bible. It included what Hitler alleged to be his life story and his public declarations regarding Nazi ideology. Soon after Hitler was released he revitalized the Nazi Party, and it quickly spread to western and northern Germany.

There are, of course there are. But there are also millions of Americans, victims of far-right propaganda, who believe that anyone who proposes something positive for the society is someone who is trying to destroy America. Many rednecks, hill-bilies, uneducated idiots, religious bigots, racists, all victims of ruthless propaganda (they would not have been victims if they could think), have been convinced that the only thing that saves them are super-rich individuals, who fuck them up. They grow to religiously adhere to this nonsense and cannot understand that a social policy is exactly what is needed.

I don't live in the US either but know lots of Americans who think along the same lines as Sanders. However, knowing that they live in a fucked up society, they know that, for now, there is zero hope for such a leader. This may happen in the future, after the US loses the world hegemony, but it may take long time. 50 years? 200 years? Nobody knows. All empires fall. Even the Mighty Roman Empire fell in the 15th c. AD. It took about 2000 years.

Liberals and conservatives may agree on at least one thing: the importance of working hard in order to succeed.

According to new Cornell-led research exploring the foundations of morality, liberals and Democrats are far more inclined than conservatives and Republicans to believe in the importance of equity – the notion that some groups may need different opportunities to succeed based on their starting points, so that all have the same levels of success.

But when it comes to proportionality – the idea that effort determines success – the researchers found a much smaller political divide.

“This speaks to why we see so much value in American society placed on picking yourself up by your bootstraps to overcome any obstacle,” said Christofer Skurk, Ph.D. ’19. “Notions of meritocracy and what is sometimes called the ‘Protestant work ethic’ are really interwoven into the American fabric, almost regardless of a person’s political orientation.”

America’s Founding Fathers were Liberals
America’s founding fathers were classical liberals, meaning they favored liberty, private property, capitalism, freedom of religion, and a limited Republican style of government. See definition of classical liberalism.[1][2][3]

In fact, the founding fathers of America weren’t just “liberals”, they were Republicans, Federalists, and Democrats too. They were Patriots, they were a lot of things, but one thing they weren’t were monarchists or loyalists to the crown. The father of modern political science and modern Republicanism Machiavelli said, “the governments of the people are better than those of princes” [Book I, Chapter LVIII of Livy], and in the Spirit of Montesquieu’s “Liberal” Republicanism they agreed (although they often didn’t agree on much beyond that).

Right-wing ideologues do not like the idea of people demanding justice and equality. So, squash, infiltrate, prosecute, and criminalize political movements, and outlaw teaching the history of violation, control, and the use of violence to impose order. The response is not only to outlaw the teaching about injustice and political movements but to defund academic disciplines and programs that mention, think about, or enact diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

How true.👿
By phart [Ignore] 22,Dec,22 12:56 other posts
the idea of "demanding" anything is what is offensive and puts people off.
If you deserve justice, you will get it. act right instead of committing crimes then expecting to be free like others that CHOOSE not to commit crimes.

IF you want equality, act equal and you will get it.
Instead of sitting on the side lines watching others go to work, and demanding to be equal ,go to work with the others you wish to be equal with.

How many white men were killed last year by a cop kneeling on his neck? How many white women were killed last year by cops storming their house while shooting their gun? But, let's not go to the extremes. Consider this:
Unfortunately, wealth in this country is unequally distributed by race—and particularly between white and black1 households.2 African American families have a fraction of the wealth of white families, leaving them more economically insecure and with far fewer opportunities for economic mobility. As this report documents, even after considering positive factors such as increased education levels, African Americans have less wealth than whites. Less wealth translates into fewer opportunities for upward mobility and is compounded by lower income levels and fewer chances to build wealth or pass accumulated wealth down to future generations.
Several key factors exacerbate this vicious cycle of wealth inequality. Black households, for example, have far less access to tax-advantaged forms of savings, due in part to a long history of employment discrimination and other discriminatory practices. A well-documented history of mortgage market discrimination means that blacks are significantly less likely to be homeowners than whites,3 which means they have less access to the savings and tax benefits that come with owning a home. Persistent labor market discrimination and segregation also force blacks into fewer and less advantageous employment opportunities than their white counterparts.4 Thus, African Americans have less access to stable jobs, good wages, and retirement benefits at work5— all key drivers by which American families gain access to savings. Moreover, under the current tax code, families with higher incomes receive increased tax incentives associated with both housing and retirement savings.6 Because African Americans tend to have lower incomes, they inevitably receive fewer tax benefits—even if they are homeowners or have retirement savings accounts. The bottom line is that persistent housing and labor market discrimination and segregation worsen the damaging cycle of wealth inequality.

Phart your perception of what the work ethic of the different races leaves a lot to be desired. What makes you think non-whites don't appreciate work as the way to a successful life?
By phart [Ignore] 22,Dec,22 19:12 other posts
The number of non whites not working is 1 of the things that makes me think they don't appreciate work.
So how much longer are blacks going to keep living in history and maintain these historical "facts" before THEY change the situation?
The black Optometrist that figured out I needed reading glasses and wrote the prescription just drives a Ferrari, i mean, according to you he should be in a Chevette wearing burlap. He didn't sit still and let statistics decide his future, he made a change.
The black man I eat breakfast with some times didn't set back and live the stats either. He owns and operates a Nylon and plastics recycling company.
THe future is here, the blacks need to stop living in the past and letting it decide their futures.
