Boy, oh boy! Leona Lewis was criticized for her rendition of BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER, as recently performed at Royal Albert Hall for what I suspect, was Remembrance Day, 2019. It does not sound as good as Simon & Garfunkel's version, nor as good as her rendition back in 2006, but it sure sounds better than our much butchered STAR SPANGLED BANNER.

The profile says it is that of an 18 year old couple and strangely, there are no pictures of sexy feet. The gallery has about 20 pictures of different women and captioned across their picture is "WHITE COCKS ONLY YOU FUCKING NIGGER".

On the way home tonight, I thought that I would stop at Popeye's Chicken and get the chicken sandwich that the media has raved about. The drive thru line was crazy long so I parked and went in. Couldn't help but notice that there were 8 to 10 people congregated near the counter while a number of folks were sitting in the "dining room". I placed my order and stood there......and soon I was able to tune in on the chatter. People were grumbling about the long wait. One guy said he had been waiting 20 minutes for his sandwich, YIKES!

I decided, no big thing, I will wait it out rather than ask for my money back and leaving. I was in for a long wait and still about 14 miles from home and I needed to use the washroom. I h@te public restrooms but I went in. DANG! There were two stalls and the one I went in, I happened to notice smear marks all over the toilet seat. This is not a good sign. Upon further inspection, I noticed "stuff" splashed and dried upon the wall. Needless to say, I decided not to use the washoom. When I exited, I discreetly approached the counter and asked to speak to the manager on duty. A young 20-something young lady came to the counter. I quietly told her that the washroom needed attention, that there was dried fecal matter splattered all over the wall. She apologized and asked me, "is that pee?" "No, it's shit." I guess I'm not surprised that young people only seem to understand the vernacular.

Hey, if you're wondering, the sandwich was good. The piece of chicken was big, a bit too much breading on it for my taste and I loved the added pickle slices. Yum! Each bite was pickles and chicken. Whodah thunk chicken and pickles could taste so good!?

Well Bella, to quote a famous line from Kipling, “You’re a better man than I am: Gunga Din.” I would have walked out of the place, money back or no. The situation is much the same here in Dallas with most fast food outlets staffed by the very young, some of whom even speak English. Anyway, glad the food was worth the wait.

Since it's all over Bella, I'll tell you that I really, really, really hope that the person who cleaned up that filth washed their hands PROPERLY before going back to handling food and that I hope you got your food BEFORE the cleaning!!

I have a mind set when I go out to dinner in good restaurants and fast food (very seldom). I try very hard not to think about service personnel hygiene, roaches and mice, spoiled foods. The hygiene part is the most probable. People seem to grow up without good habits.

I have to say, what I've noticed in the Mickey D near me, there is a sink available for the crew that is smack dab in front of the work area, but behind the counter. I must say that I have witnessed the crew members that run food out, will wash their hands upon returning. Hmmmmm.......I wonder if the hands that packed the mobile orders were clean!?

I've noticed many fast foods were the help are admonished to wash their hands before returning to counter and they do. Then open the restroom door using the door handle. A sink stricktly for hand washing in the counter area makes sense

1. They actually have chicken

As a fan of both, stick with the one closer. My opinion, Popeye's Chicken Sandwich beats the hell outta Chik-Fil-A's. I was one that tried it the first round and was SO impressed I told everybody I encountered how damn good it was. Best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten.

Actually it is now standard time, as the recent change ended daylight savings time. So the darkness would stay if we eliminated any changing.

According to my weather app, sunrise, in my neck of the woods is 7:13am and sunset at 5:13pm. We have 10 hours of daylight and those 10 hours happen to be when I'm at work. I literally leave my home in the dark for my trip to work. Yes, the sun comes up about 30 minutes into my drive but most of the time, my workday ends somewhere between 5 and 6pm and I'm driving in the dark. Grrrrrr......

The change sucks. I wake up an hour earlier and feel sleepy an hour earlier, but Daylight Savings Time is in the summer months (March to November). We are on normal regular time now.
