Saturday, I talked to a guy who used to live in town. Months ago, some personal business took him to southern Florida but he returned to Michigan because it is the holiday time, his daughter lives here as well as other family members.

He was super surprised with the current condition of Michigan with regard to small businesses. He told me that driving back and traveling through various states, Michigan seems to be the ONLY STATE that restaurants are closed or only open for carry-out services. I doubt that he would be telling me something false, but I'm wondering if your state has been impacted so drastically?

My neighbors daughter is about to marry a fellow in florida and move down there.He came up to visit family last week and he said our state was a bunch of dumbass's with mask and all the closures and can't sit at this table or that 1.
He said in Florida the state is open and bussiness' are running,it is much better where he is there.
I don't know if it is state wide or not.Other floridians might know different.

Yeah, he's full of shit unless he's living in way North Florida. From Orlando down to Key West the restaurants are back to 50%. Masks are required. Curfew reinstated to 10pm for all shops and restaurants. Theme parks are at 50% with limited hours. Some business are going back to working at home.

Odd place to ask,but hey,this site has real people who speak their minds moreso than other places I go.
So does anyone here do online investing? I want to put a small amount of money into a account with a different bank than the 1 I use all the time and use that to buy and sell stock here on online.I try to watch vids and get confused and it turns out they are trying to sell some kind of book or majic potion.I just want to buy 200 dollars worth of stock and watch and when it hits 400 sell it and buy 200 more and go again.

You can learn stock market basics from youtube videos, like what's what and how brokers and exchanges work. But forget about learning how to make money. You won't be able to do this from youtube videos. Or from any paid course or book for that matter. Market is constantly changing. You need to develop a sense of it and you can only do this by years of practice. And only if you have a certain type of mentality. Trading the markets is utterly boring if you do it right. Basically it's endless waiting and repetition of same simple actions most of time without any significant outcome. And if you want it to be exiting you will lose. It's cheaper and more fun to just to go to a casino.

I use an investment broker Edward Jones I’m invested in the growth and harvest of medical marijuana and oils and it’s doing well and I’m glad because the garage business has slowed up and it’s hard to get parts I’m also invested in a roofing company but again shingles and building supplies are hard to get and I have invested in a used car lot but hardly any one is buying cars there spending what money they have on toilet paper and food so with the pandemic I say invest wisely and in something popular that don’t require much shipping

Yea,I do like the fact the tax payers are not stuck paying for the drug test,but there should be some realistic method for the testing so the employer and the employee can deal with it. walking 25 miles, eh,that is a bit much.
But far as paying for a couple test a week,well that is just part of the price you pay for doing what you did to get in trouble to start with.Not the taxpayers responsiablity.

A local town 8 or so miles from me,it is common now to see 2 or 3 New York plates on the hwy around there.Folks are leaving that state in droves.
