Why is that boogieman, Communism or Socialism, is always thrown out there? We are in the middle of one of the biggest elections. That alone should be enough to know we are nowhere near being close to an authoritarian government ruling our country.
Trying to sensor fake and negative news or dangerous idea mongers is an aluring thought, but, it's not the correct way to refute such. I don't condone it. I didn't condone it in the Trump administration and not now, in the Biden administration.

You should also tell her that in person votes are counted before mail in ballots. Just like in 2020, it will appear that the Republicans have a big lead because a higher percentage of them vote in person and then the mail in ballots, which tend to be on the Democratic side are going to be counted, and then all of a sudden the numbers are going to change. This will happen so don’t be surprised when it does. This will happen all around the country.

Change happens more or less because people think they have to change.
Most change is not necessary if things are working smoothly.
People need to feel in control and when they are in a position to change something, they do it so others will notice they can . Go to walmart, stuff gets moved around all the time,is it better, or worse? Sometimes worse, sometimes no real improvement or damage .But some manager or authoritive figure wants to feel like they are useful so they make a change.

Not true. Most changes happen because it's a good thing. Electrical appliances, vaccines, open heart surgery, dental implants, election date on the first Tuesday after the first Monday. Even when things are working smoothly there can be change. Why? Because of ADDITIONAL benefits. The horse and buggy worked well, but, a car is faster. The department head at Walmart might think rearrangement will move more units of a certain product. The advantage, or lack off, comes with time.
