There is a new warehouse club coming to town-ish and it will be only 20 miles away. The name of tje place is BJ's (no shit) and it is similar to SAM'S CLUB and COSTCO. Has anyone shopped at a BJ's and if so, what are your thoughts?

I've been a member of BJs and Costco for years. Once I joined Sams but I did not like it. I have to travel 17 plus or minus miles to either BJs or Costco. Both are good but BJs has a bigger selection and, in my opinion is cheaper on the budget.

It is the better of the bunch.Again as already said,bulk items for sure.
A single person like myself can't justify the membership just to buy 40 rolls of paper towels and 100 rolls of bathroom printer paper. Soup by the case. Stuff like Car batterys,golf cart batterys, No real savings if you add in the membership fees over what you can get the items for at speciatly stores.Electronic items I buy from Best buy or somewhere that I can get some help and warrentys and such if I don't buy used.

If your household budget allows it, bulk buying is very good. The individual item prices are worth the membership fee. Phart exagerated. You can get 12 roll packages of toilet paper. Sodas by the case, cereal in double packages and many other things. Electronics all come with a manufacturer warranty. Buying an extended warranty at the time of purchase is like paying for a free warranty. Their electronic items are mostly brand name and cheap. On the net you can join Groupon for free and many times they have coupons for discounted BJ'S membership fee .I paid $50 for mine. That equates to less than $5 a month. It's worth it. I do suggest a small freezer at least. We buy bulk chicken and yellow tail. They also have discounted wines.

The shopping for free prior to joining sounds like a good deal. I somewhat remember that when COSTCO came to the Detroit suburbs, they allowed you to shop without a membership however there was a 2% or 5% upcharge.

I've got a COSTCO premier membership, but really don't use it. As far as buying in bulk, you are right, if there's just one, it's hard to justify buying 40 rolls of toilet tissue at a time. And an f.y.i., I'm still trying to use up the fricken COMPRESSED toilet that I bought through Amazon. As for their meat counter, I don't buy from COSTCO because I can often find a better price at the grocery store and/or better price, better QUALITY at nearby butcher shops.

Some companys,hospital and government employees get a discounted membership also at some of those warehouses,I know Sams club offered us a discount.But I had a freind I went with once a year and bought a few things. A of food samples on tooth picks everytime I went in there.

Lightning ruins the coil in the ignition.I have a couple small tractors damaged that way ,need new coils because of the shed being struck by lightning.
I have not been struck directly but a tree near by was and it was LOUD and blinding.

Bella, just for your info, forums are wide open to any person. All lix had to do is log out of site, go to this forum, bring the post on screen showing Dgraff, you, and Admin, and take a screen shot. That loads as a pic and can be uploaded to member's page and made as favorite. I prefer to use copy/paste but reading any post on any current forum is wide open. The dumpster is only accessible when logged in. At least, as far as I'm able to access. Many member's page, even if they block you, can be accessed through the "members" list.

And as far as accessing the "dumpster" if you can't access because 1) you were blacklisted or 2) not logged in, my suggestion is to just create MULTIPLE PROFILES, it's easy, peasy, Japaneesy and apparently admin doesn't care.

I've been here about 4 yrs on and off. Before that Charlie was the first to join for 4 or 5 months. I've know the site for about 6 yrs. I became aware of the forums in the last 3+ years. I still don't know all the ins and outs of how it works.
What I do know is that you've blocked me at least twice before I blocked you. As a matter of fact, I first learned what blacklisting was from you. No matter. Again, who cares? Previously I used blocking as a tantrum to the BS. No more, at least, I hope not. Maybe, a carrion eater like Skittles or Freddy will get blocked. Again, who cares about those two.

The point I was trying to make is that *lix* blacklisted me years ago and I blacklisted her, in kind. If she has blacklisted me, how could she see the thread to know that something was said and subsequently post it under "Members by their best pic" category?
