Newsmax completely makes up 'facts' and puts a complete spin on everything else. They lie about 80% of the time. The 'liberal' media is at least presenting real facts, 80% of the time. They put some spin on it, to appease their owners and advertisers, but it's not as dishonest as the right-wing media. You just think right-wing media is more honest, because they tell you the same propaganda, you have been indoctrinated with your whole life. Familiar lies sound more honest.
It's you, who thinks commercial media is preferable over publicly owned media.

and how they are going to fix it.
That's when you know they are working for you and not for themselves.
In The Netherlands, I only see that in the Socialist Party. Every other party,
to the right of them, is obfuscating, twisting, embellishing and concealing.
Meanwhile our right-wing prime minister is a very smooth liar.
He has even introduced new terminology with his lying. He often says:
"I have no active memory of that.", so you can't get him, if it turns out he knew.
Other politicians started to use that too. And people like managers of companies in trouble, getting caught for sketchy shit and getting interrogated by journalists.
And he has an old Nokia phone, with a tiny memory, so he can delete every message that he doesn't want the public to know about, while he has the obligation to share or record everything. 'Plausible deniability', 100%.
I even enjoy seeing him use it so brilliantly. He's really a master at it.

A mechanic, a postman and a factory worker used to be able to provide for his family. Why can't they do that anymore or much less?
If your brain says 'socialism', then what socialism has that mechanic, postman or factory worker gained, since 1950? Did they gain more time off, more sick days, more affordable healthcare, a shorter workweek, a safer working environment, better dismissal protection, worker participation, more affordable housing, cheaper education for their kids, better pensions or something else that I have forgotten? Or have they been screwed on all or most of those things?
How has it benefited the working class, that multi-billionaires, increasingly own more wealth, businesses, homes and land and gained more power every decade?
No matter how wealthy those investors get, they will not raise wages for their employees or give them more time off or paid sick leave or improve worker safety. That's what is important to the working class.
It is already more profitable to outsource jobs. Do you think Americans can compete with Chinese workers or Bangladeshi workers? The way you prevent those jobs going away is regulate the corporations, not pay American workers Bangladeshi wages.
John Fetterman improved the lives of the poor in Braddock massively.
Not by sucking up to corporations, but by bottom-up economic advancements.
He didn't just talk about grassroots movements, he did it and it worked.
There is more to a job that doing it and getting a check. There is retirement insurance ,and etc. Some just look at the paycheck and don't look any further.
That has not resulted in any improvement of worker benefits, only more profits for the executives and share holders. Employers are not making enough money to get stock options themselves and if they have retirement plans with stock options, the companies are also allowed to take all the profits of that system and fuck over the employees too. In other words; trickle down economy is a lie.
Insurance benefits organized by employers are just another control mechanism to suppress the power of employees. It allows the employers leverage over any negotiation and makes it harder for employees to find other jobs.
As for wanting to earn a higher wage?
You want the employer to pay you more? Make yourself invaluable to the company,invest in your education and use your talents to increase the companys profits.It brings about promotions and pay increases and company perks like company cars and such.
People need to quit expecting their warm body in the work place is enough alone for them to make a living wage,they need to provide something WORTH MORE than a living wage that the employer will be willing to pay for. I can see why alot of companys have gone overseas .Lack of work ethic.

Becoming invaluable to your employer is an individual effort, for competing with other employees. It doesn't guarantee against exploitation, at worst it makes the best employee the most favored slave.
People should expect fair treatment. And since most people are employees, they would have the worker power and political power to prevent companies from going overseas, if they are smart enough to prevent a minority of wealthy employers from buying politics, to allow them to exploit even poorer people. The combined power of 330 million consumers is enough to force companies to produce in their country. The problem is that those 330 million consumers are shortsighted and selfish. They prefer to buy their products a big cheaper, over thinking about keeping their own economy alive, which provides them all income, to buy anything at all. They became that shortsighted by consuming propaganda from right-wing media, payed for by those companies, that can make more profits, by encouraging people's selfishness.
Republicans only exist to serve themselves by serving the wealthy.
Democrats sometimes do little things for normal people, just because their voters are less convinced that people only deserve what billionaires allow them to have.
Every socialist wants more equality of wealth and income
and force the wealthy to pay higher taxes and higher wages.
And you think socialists are serving the wealthy?
You have no idea what socialism really is.
The wealthy are the winners in capitalism.
Socialists wants an alternative for capitalism.

I am more and more active in the socialist party.

scammed his family out of their inheritance and only managed to retain some of the wealth of his father by scammed his customers, everyone who ever worked for him and everyone who ever trusted him.

First of all, my country is the 5th happiest country in the world and the US is only 16th, with horrible poverty, lots of homeless, 2 mass shootings per day, the highest incarceration rate in the world and a failed, highly corrupt, democracy.
Second; even though we have more 'socialism', The Netherlands is a very capitalist country and not socialist by a long shot.
Third; the number one happiest country in the world is Finland, which is also a capitalist country, but with the most social services of all countries in the world.
That's socialism winning.

Politicians often justify their corruption by thinking 'I'm just playing the game!' or 'Am I not allowed to better myself?'. It's up to the voters to show them that their job is being public servants and representatives. You vote to let your country be controlled by selfish wealthy white guys,

Our right-wing prime minister is being forced to do many 'socialist' things, like paying up to 30 billion to maximize the energy costs of families. Most people blame the privatization of the energy companies on the high energy prices. The socialist party is not winning yet, but their ideas are rapidly gaining ground.
