Post some words that, according to you, are nasty, that you ha_te or just dislike. It could be anything, from food, to a concept, but let's avoid specific names.

For example, here are some words I find pathetic, that I dislike (all starting with R, just for fun):

Religious

Racism

Righteousness

Sustainability - way overused

Invite - when they mean invitation

Wanna - instead of want to

I couldn't agree more on that.
Have you realised that that bitch
gives tax releases to billionaires?
And several poor, but stoopid, people support that.
Just like poor Americans who vote for trump...

Because idiots support them.

Using the word People does not sound good to me, it is like you may as well be saying you Sheep .Folks gives a person a feeling of being someone's friend of family.

I would think using the word people would be best for a commentator to describe a group of humans on a side walk.
Where as Folks would be to describe a group of friends and family at a reunion. More personalized.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ... Not sure lol

It's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Even though the sound of it
Is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough
You'll always sound precocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I
Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I
Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I
Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I
Because I was afraid to speak
When I was just a lad
Me father gave me nose a tweak
And told me I was bad
But then one day I learned a word
That saved me aching nose
The biggest word you ever heard
And this is how it goes
Oh, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Even though the sound of it
Is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough
You'll always sound precocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I
Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I
Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I
Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I
He traveled all around the world and everywhere he went
He'd use his word and all would say there goes a clever gent
When dukes of Maharajah pass the time of day with me
I say me special word and then they ask me out to tea (woo)
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Even though the sound of it
Is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough
You'll always sound precocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I
Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I
Now you can say it backwards which is
Dociousaliexpisticfragicalirupus
But that's going a bit too far, don't you think?
Indubitably
So when the cat has got your tongue
There's no need for dismay (oui, oui)
Just summon up this word
And then you've got a lot to say
But better use it carefully
Or it can change your life
For example
Yes?
One night I said it to me girl and now me girl's me wife
Oh, and a lovely thing she is, too, ha ha ha
She's
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

By #485312 04,May,21 22:35
she's a forgiving woman and if the current president is anything to go by, she still has a chance for another 20 years lol, her and trump would make a good team, he can fiddle the girls and she can turn a blind eye *lix*

Oh maybe, but what it's trump going to fiddle the girls with? A vibrator? Hillary turned a blind eye once. She won't do that again.

When i look back at the 2011-2020 decade this word will still make me cringe:

ICONIC

Dreadfully overused to describe anything from the past, which is not its correct definition.

CURATED/HAND-CURATED

"Please join us for supper on the 8th. Wilma-Wanda is hand-curating the menu. "
Pretentious and too...twee as the brits would say. It's not gathering items salvaged from the TITANIC for an exhibit. It's fucking dinner.
By leopoldij [Ignore] 04,May,21 15:27 other posts
You're right. From time to time certain words become fashionable and then many people are using them without even fully understanding why they're using them or what they mean.
By leopoldij [Ignore] 04,May,21 15:28 other posts
Narrative is another example. What do you think?

By spermkiss [Ignore] 10,Apr,21 12:05 other posts
"Top" and "bottom" used as one's preferred role in an intimate encounter with another man. When I first became sexually active in the middle sixties an announcement like this was considered tres gauche and it just wasn't done. Interested parties might wish to pull up my Forum post "The Evolution of Gay Sex".
By leopoldij [Ignore] 10,Apr,21 22:01 other posts
I never understood why there is a distinction. Can't someone be top and bottom or neither? What's the point in classifying gay men like this? People should be free to enjoy what they enjoy without labels. Sometimes one might feel this way, sometimes the another way.
By #485312 12,Apr,21 01:49
maybe its just to avoid time wasters, using labels for tops or bottoms. being a top only or bottom only, is like being straight, its what you prefer and would two tops really enjoy each other if neither wanted to be penetrated??? I'll have to read the evolution passage, to see it that increases my understanding *lix*
By thatjohn [Ignore] 04,May,21 09:41 other posts
I think lipsipsuckit is definitely onto the right idea. The whole point is preference.

After reading the forum post "The Evolution of Gay Sex" ... it sounds like gay sex has improved just like the way our rights have improved. "Bottom shaming" is still around and from the sounds of his forum post was very prevalent back then.

I'm glad that the gay people I know are not ashamed of their preferences. Announcing what you like done to your body or being up front about what you like sexually should be applauded... so long as it doesn't hurt anyone and is also consented to.

I find the distaste for these labels very interesting. Especially when it comes from another gay man. Honestly, it only makes me more curious as to their own sexual practices...though I am aware thats entirely their business. LOL

Die. Mainly when it's used this way: "That cake is to die for" or "I'm dying to get that new phone" or similar nonsense like that. I hate hearing that.
