Hi admin !

Short of blacklisting member(s), is there any possibility that you could implement a feature that prohibits specific member(s) from interacting with "you" or your content? Maybe something like when you choose to delete an unwanted comment, a 48 to 72 hour "time out" that's implemented where they are unable to interact with you, your blog or your forum thread?

I'm not a fan of blacklisting OR changing my settings to accept from "friends only" because that could and would limit possibilities however sometimes there is a need when an obstinate member or two just does't know when "enough is enough".

Today, I kid you not, have deleted approximately 60 posts from my blog sent by the same annoying member. I've asked this member to stop without result.

Well, because the site was developed layer by layer it's not so easy to add something like that without looking over half of it's code. So I would say no. However, I think I made something like that for some aussie (I don't remember his nick already) for being a huge money contributor so I will check it out if it can be retro-fitted to the purposes you desire.

As most of you are aware, admin created the Evaluation Panel for verified members to determine whether their peer members have broken site guidelines and if it warrants their deletion. admin's only "rule" is; "No guidelines. If you do not have any common sense you should not participate here! If you "freeze" deletion of something really important like child porn you are banned from the site no matter what." COMMON SENSE!

Today, a member is referred for Copyright/Stolen and the following "Explanation" is given; "Explanation: This is a fake member keeps remaking a different account /forum/thread.php?id=19962#92 " Yep, copyright/stolen, fake member and the PROOF provided is a link to a Forum thread. The first 4 voters vote ABUSE HAS NO GROUND and the fifth voter votes DELETE THIS MEMBER with the following reason; "why tolerate this behavior?"

I'm all about voters having REASONS to support their vote but I'm wondering what "behavior" has been exhibited that would warrant a deletion? I wonder whether the voter realizes admin has a MEMBERS THAT LIKELY WERE BANNED BEFORE area that did not detect the reported member as previously banned?

I went by the "allegations". I felt like if they took the time to report it,they must have already done some checking. I won't vote anymore on the thing so I wont' cause a stir.
I just can't quite wrap my head around why people don't seem to mind fakes taking up space? Photos,text,files, all take up server space that the admin has to pay for and maintain. is it not cost effective to keep the fakes and so forth at bay?

If I were to report something, I would have already made sure there was a real issue.

Several months ago, a SYC member reported a SYD member because he said some unkind things. Because she is well liked, the voting members voted to delete him. Why did he have to be deleted when she could have just blacklisted him?

Think about the allegations made. Is it possible they are not true? Is there an alternative to deletion? Was "PROOF" submitted? Remember, everyone is NOT honest!

Phart, allegations are not proof. That’s what several members have been telling you a lot. Vote as you see fit and if it causes a stir, so be it. Now, as far as trying to be an Admin #2, let #1 worry about server space. He’s running a business and he’s well aware of what is profitable. Just an aside: If a fake account creates movement in the site, as long as it’s not breaking any laws, he’s good for the site. Remember, many people, for whatever reason, will interact with this account.
