Anyone heard of this VR thing yet? VR stands for virtual reality. I've been watching YouTube videos on it the last few days. Looks awesome. You may have seen the headsets at JB Hi-Fi or EB games or places they sell phones & androids... Anyway, they've got porn sites for VR now. I think there is a limit to everything. For example: the internet facilitated communication, provided information, etc. Then the internet became heavier, it got owned by companies and agencies whose goal was (and is) to make money from you and get all your personal data. This is done by luring you (and me) into more "modern" and "smarter" apps, sites, etc. It is at this point that there is a plateau: no further improvement will make one's satisfaction better. As another example, take the cinema industry. In the beginning films were black and white and silent and the quality was poor. Then the quality improved. Then sound was introduced. Then colour was added. Then special effects. And so on. We've reached a point where films are *only* about special effects and no substance, no story. Add to that, relatively recently, the 3D versions. I've been to a few. In my opinion, they don't make the film better. For the first 5-10 minutes you feel you're *in* the film, but then you forget it's 3D.

Same goes with the porn thing. Too much of "improvement" (via VR for example)is bound to produce a plateau: a point beyond which the law of diminishing returns takes over.

Too much "technology" is not always a good thing.

As another example, take cars. I would love to have a car with NON-electric windows. Why? Because I can always close the windows even when there's a failure in the electrical system. I've experienced it myself (and seen others too experience it) that, sometimes, infrequently of course, you're stuck with an open electric window and if the only option is to park the car on the street, then you got a problem.
