It has come to my attention that not only women, but men are insecure about their age.

Having created a contest specifically for the 60+ crowd, when I saw participants with ages that were under 60, I questioned them. One SYD member kindly responded with his age and said that he didn't want to advertise his age because he didn't think members were interested in seeing "old dicks".

Beauty and "sexy" are not owned solely by young people. Believe that! Beauty can be found in and at all stages of life and if you don't believe it, look around. Queen Elizabeth II, at 92 years of age, she is absolutely vibrant and beautiful. I love how she WEARS color. Helen Mirren, Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda (although she has had cosmetic surgery), Halle Berry is in her 50's, Jennifer Aniston is 49 years old, and Uptown Girl, Christie Brinkley is early 60's

Now for the men, Brad Pitt looks good, George Clooney, Mr. Barbra Streisand, James Brolin, Sean Connery, Colin Firth, Denzel Washington and I'm sure there's more, I just cannot think who else.....

I think that you are right and that some men can be precious about their age. While my age is no longer on my profile I am open about it when contacted and often offer it without being asked. So why did I remove it from my profile ? I have friends who have suffered significantly having been identified on a web site. Age itself is not a giveaway but one piece in a jigsaw. Call me paranoid, but I say I am being careful.

That queen looks good has to do with the fact that she's a random woman who's never worked in her life. Due to an accident of birth, she became a queen and has been pampered throughout her life. No worries, No need for money, everything taken care of for her, and, moreover , lots of morons around the world who think that she, as well as all queens and kings, is something special. While I don't think that my views and yours are the same with regards to royalty I do agree that the Queen and other members of the royal family do receive health care that the rest of us could only dream of.
However, the notion that having an elected president is the better option is naive. look at Sisi of Egypt, Erdogan of Turkey, Putin and Xi of China. It is amazing how these poorly paid elected presidents appear to accumiulate great wealth and untrammeled power. Sorry, give me the Queen anyday.

No you didn't but if you look around the world at those countries that do not have a monarch as a Head of State the vast majority have a president. There are a few exceptions, some middle eastern states being the obvious examples. My point was that the Queen is apolitical and despite many flaws that you may list an elected or nominated president has just as many. Just look at how many presidential elections are divisive or corrupt.

So often I will receive a message saying thank you for the points. Dammit, I took time to look at your picture and post a clever comment and the response I receive is thanks for the points!? It's kinda like sending a birthday card or a wedding card and rather than saying thanks for remembering my birthday or thank you for sharing our day, you get thanked for the check.

Actually, I have thanked members for their "thank you" cuz some members don't even do that.

This crime of theft just recently happened in Detroit and has many not only shaking their heads, they're chuckling, too!

A gas station reported a theft of 600 gallons of gas. And you are probably wondereding how in the heck can anyone steal 600 gallons of gas? ME, TOO! It is suspected that two people of interest hacked into the station's pump or system and pumped gas for an estimated 90 minutes while the employee inside was completely unaware of what was going on. Yeah, there must have been a steady stream of cars pulling up to the pump and were undetected for a whole long time! If anyone recognizes the two men of interest, please be sure to contact the DPD!

WOW! Still trying to figure out why the clerk didn't notice anything suspicious! Weird!!! They did say somewhere between 10 and 20 cars, got away with the gas, but even if it was 20 that would be a 30 gallon tank per car!!! The largest gas tank I know of is a 36 gallon tank for a car/truck.

I'm not sure they really know how many cars got away with it or even if the total was 600 gallons.

Oh well, still strange to me.

I think that is correct. When I first signed up I had my age in my 'description' ans it progressed on it's own, I didn't have to do anything.
