Your views, thoughts or simply opinions. The Economy is not well (understatement). I know there are some here that will try to link the country they are residing in as problems of the USA. Sorry the USA cannot be responsible for 100% of the problems in the world nor should they be expected to help repair all problems.

There may be a glimmer of hope for that city after all. Now hopefully they will do something at state level as that state has some serious issues brewing. sqautters taking over homes, crime rampant .A state I would not go to for any reason,

Which of the three would you visit bearing in mind you have to choose one? California, Illinois or NY.
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 15,Mar,23 06:01 other posts
If I would ever come to America, I think Washington DC and New York would be first on the list. California would be on the list too, but that's on the other side of the US, so not convenient to put in the same vacation. Besides the cities, I would like to see a national park, so that would be either in Virginia, Ohio or Maine. I would need to do further study to see what would be feasible by car.

If I would ever visit the 'red' states, it would be for their food culture.
I would keep my mouth shut about politics though. If I put on a red cap, I look just
like a local. They would have no idea that it was not a hat in MAGA color, but a hat in Socialist Party color, if I take off the logo.

The whole crime wave is blown up by Republicans and right-wing media. Your (mass) shootings are skyrocketing, but that's not the Democrats' fault. It's the whole east coast, so I wouldn't take that in my consideration where to go. It's a reason for probably never visiting your country, besides hating airports and being stuck in a plane for more than a few hours, before I start to consider to saw off my legs.

Dc and New York and that californicated are the rectums and cyst of of the USA, going to those places first is similar to how our Vultures live.
That is the first thing vultures do when the flock finds a dead dear or something along the road, they go to the asshole first, soft tissue to tear apart with their beeks.

Possums are the worst about literally crawlin into a dead cows ass and eating a while and then sticking their head out for air. That is the funniest and strangest thing you will ever see, a possums head sticking out of a cows ass.

So what location in the US do you recommend as the best the US has to offer?
Please consider that for a lefty like me, it would feel very unsafe to see everyone walking around with guns.
We are not fond of the large, overcrowded, heavily commercialized tourist attractions, but prefer the relaxed community hobby tourism projects. We also like to drive around and stop when we see something interesting, see real nature without hiking for miles, do a bit of shopping, eat good food and sit for a drink on a terrace and socialize with the locals. Does that sound like tourism how Americans do it?
By phart [Ignore] 20,Mar,23 13:08 other posts
There are alot of state and national parks all over the country that you can park the car and enjoy a day hiking or riding horseback or whatever, without having to smell the smog of new york or get the windows of your car bashed in so thieves can steal your luggage.
Some of the places like Asheville NC are beautiful and very liberal so you would feel at home there I am sure.
Asheville is so liberal they even use satellite imagery to measure your vegetable garden in your backyard and tax you on the POTENTIAL crop you might harvest of fresh food. That is to prevent the 2% food tax evasion at the store.

Drive thru Lexington North Carolina and try the different Barbecues offered at all the places that look like holes in the wall but sell some of the best food you will eat.
Ride the Shay locomotive powered train at Cass West Virgina if you really want to see some pretty scenery. Tour the Henry Ford Muesum.
Something there for everyone and I do mean some of everything.I went and want to go back
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 22,Mar,23 03:22 other posts
That all sounds pretty good. That would be the type of vacation we would like, instead of going to the places that 'you have to have seen'. New York falls under that last category. It's a place you need to see to understand America better, if I would combine it with the other types of living in America. Vacation to me is not just relaxation, but also a time for learning.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's regrettable that this talk took a turn to politics again,
but I have to react to it:

I'm sure you even have good reasons to call taxes on people's vegetable garden 'liberal', but it's the exact opposite, even if politicians who call themselves 'liberal' introduced it. That's exactly what I call 'neo-liberal'; it fucks normal people, with the intent of helping corporations. 'Liberalism' is a 'philosophy based on the rights of the individual, liberty, consent of the governed, political equality and equality before the law.'
'Liberalism' is freedom for people, 'neo-liberalism' is freedom for corporations. They have put in your brain that corporations ARE people, but that's bullshit, corporations eat people for breakfast.

What is more supportive of equality than allowing people to grow their own healthy food? Any science respecting liberal would understand that growing vegetables in your own garden is a great way for people to reduce their carbon footprint. They should have subsidized people's vegetable gardens, not taxed it. Progressives would tax the corporations, to support people having subsidized vegetable gardens; the complete opposite.
Taxing people growing their own food is further to the right, than what my prime minister Rutte would do. Do you understand a bit more now, why I say the Democratic party is right-wing too?
Democrats are just less extreme right-wing than Republicans.

You really should understand that 'big government', restricting people's rights is not 'liberalism', that's 'conservatism'. It's where 'big government' tells people what they are not allowed to do, most often based on religious ideology, which in your country is 'capitalism'. And fundamentalist Christianity of course.

You support big government cracking down on people's right to be transgender, taking women's rights over their own womb, what books children can chose to read and how teachers explain science and history in classrooms. That's really big government. It's restricting people's rights, just like taxing vegetable gardens.

You are only right to a point. I support control of certain issues to protect young people until they are 18 and a adult.
As for understanding new york,I would rather learn the sex habits of the Dung beetle.

sadly Asheville is all Democrat controlled. And when a person like myself sees how it treats it's people ,what other choice do I have to but to try to protect myself from being a victim of the same thing?
As for travel and vacation. IF you like the smell of axle grease and mildew ,and FLAT treeless land ,ride I40 thru Oklahoma. BUT there are some good hard working people out there and I enjoyed the visit. I will be going back in a couple years and hope to go into Kansas and the Dakotas.
By #610414 22,Mar,23 11:37
Phart's right. The Carolinas have a lot to offer. I recommend the Outer Banks. Another area is the shores of the state of Maine. Lovely seaside towns but cold.

It is my belief "our so called leaders speak, with words they try to jail ya" to quote The Police. "they subjugate the meek, but it's the rhetoric of failure" I have become disgusted with politics and the fkn evil and greed that is blatantly obvious to anyone not suffering from cranial rectitus right? I will quote the great Mark Twain.."Politicians are like diapers. They both need to be changed often and for the same reason"

How many agree with me?..Pence has to jump into the presdential race because it will give him the excuse as to why he was not picked as Trump's running mate. We all know Pence has no chance in Hell of being Trump's VP.
By #610414 22,Feb,23 17:46
Actually, Trump doesn't have a chance in hell of being picked, let alone getting a running mate.

Yeah, that is what I said about mr magoo. Now look at all the crap we are in. A complete 360 of where we were a little over two years ago. Ahh, count the days.

Did you like where the country was two years ago?
I remember it being a fucking tragedy all over the world.
Besides Ukraine and Russia being at war, causing a energy crisis and a
massive refugee problem, it's still better now than it was two years ago.
By phart [Ignore] 23,Feb,23 08:55 other posts
I liked where the country was before the virus was bestowed upon the earth by the chinese.
Fuel and food were affordable, people were working their jobs and making decent money.
Now biden is sending military equipment to ukraine, bringing us into war with russia of all places, the economy is in the septic tank.
Now, salarys have went up,but so did the power bill by 15%,the phone bill went up 30%,and food has went up ridiculas.
So that high salary aint helped a thing, still can't get any more for your money than you did before.

Don’t think it was all the Chinese doing with the plandemic bill gates and soroes had plenty to do with it and believe me when I say they’re will be another one coming just in time for the next election it’s a diversionary trick to confuse everyone so the democrats can cheat again
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 24,Feb,23 08:56 other posts
So bill gates and soroes also correctly predicted that Trump would fuck up on the pandemic like he did? If Trump had reacted only a little bit smarter, he would have been re-elected in a landslide. People always stick with their leader in a crisis, unless that leader fucks up 'bigly'.

I seem to remember that trump wanted to shut down all flights from other countries way before the pandemic actually got here and Biden as senator voted against it saying trump was just paranoid
By phart [Ignore] 24,Feb,23 10:31 other posts
Yea he wanted to block travel into the country,to keep the virus out. I very much remember when the cruise ship folks were allowed to go home, you could literally look at the case number counts on the map going up I95 and every exit ramp where they would get gas the case rates started climbing. Travel should have been STOPPED from ships and planes
Then you remember wrong, because Trump banned flights on March 12th 2020 and the US had it first case on January 20th 2020.

Biden did support the restrictions of travel from China and even called out Trump for being too late.

Biden was not even a senator in 2020. But it's very possible he did not support flight restrictions on 26 European countries.
At that date, the US had over 1,300 confirmed cases and 38 deaths. Italy was surely having a bigger problem at that time, but it was way not as bad in all those 26 European countries.
Besides, a travel ban looks tough, but with Covid definitely present in the US,
it was mostly a distraction from not taking the necessary steps internally.

And it doesn't help much if the president calls the pandemic a hoax half the time
to convince people to be careful not to infect each other.

If something like Ebola ever breaks out in America, you are all done for.

Covid was discovered in China in December of 2019.
Are you sure you're not talking about the Muslim ban?

Wikipedia source:
"The 2019–2020 COVID-19 outbreak in mainland China was the first wave of the disease, and was first manifested as a cluster of mysterious pneumonia cases, mostly related to the Huanan Seafood Market, in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province. It was first reported to the local government on 27 December 2019 and published on 31 December. On 8 January 2020, a new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was identified as the cause of the pneumonia by Chinese scientists.[5] By 29 January, the virus was found to have spread to all provinces of mainland China.[6][7][8]"

I don’t care what he was or what he was pretending to be truth be known he was a 47 year career criminal who voted to tax social security many many times
Who wouldn't agree that the world was better off before corona?
But sometimes shit happens. The challenge is to fix the problem and make sure the next thing like it doesn't result in the same problems again.

It's nice for you to blame Biden, I understand, but paint me a picture of what Russia will do, tomorrow and in the further future, if Biden stopped sending weapons to Ukraine today.
By phart [Ignore] 24,Feb,23 19:59 other posts
putin will do the same thing to ukraine rather or not we send anything. He will eventually nuke the place.
I am starting to think this whole thing is a distraction and will lead to something larger anyway.
He is not really after ukraine, he is draining supplys of all the rest of the countrys that he and the chinese can then work together to take over.
Think about it, our ammunitions stock piles are low, due to the oil issue ,our reserves are at their lowest in decades.Other countries are running low as well.
And Who makes alot of our ammo? china. um, who sent a balloon to float over our military bases recently?
connect the dots.
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 25,Feb,23 20:13 other posts
The first line is of course absolute nonsense, if the US and Europe stops sending weapons to Ukraine, it will be run over very quickly. Then Ukrainians are either massacred, thrown out or subjugated. Ukraine will be part of Russia and then Putin will start planning for the next country to invade. He will have his pick from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Moldavia next. He doesn't have to take Belarus, because they are already fully cucked. If the US and Europe don't send weapons to those countries, it would be an easy victory there too, so he can quickly continue with Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. Poland might take a bit longer, maybe Putin is dead by then, but the giant success of the new imperialism gives the Russian people no incentive to oppose the next despotic dictator continuing the great expanse of the Russian empire.
It would be a complete 180, for the US to not care about that anymore. In the past, the US fought everywhere in the world to fight back Russia from taking control. Did you care about it then? Or has that changed, because Russia is not a communist state anymore, but a oligarchy just like the US, with the fascist leader of your dreams?

Russia has a ridiculous ammo shortage. Even their elite forces are now dying by the hundreds per day, because they are not supplied adequately.
You are like Rambo with an M60 and boxes of bullets, fearing a kid with a slingshot.

What do you think will happen if Putin uses nukes on Ukraine?
Would anyone dare to nuke Moskow? Biden might do it.
Would Trump have done it? Maybe Macron or Olaf Scholz?
By #610414 23,Feb,23 09:19

The previous Clown AKA Trump
Do you think Pence needs an excuse for not being Trump's running mate,
after all that happened? No one would believe that excuse, so why does he need it?
True, Pence has No Chance In Hell of being Trump's VP.
He has No Chance In Hell of becoming president too.
But, neither has Nikki Haley and she's still running.

I can see you are coming around. Your last three sentences are so true and everyone knows it. Thanks Mr Obvious.
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 24,Feb,23 06:41 other posts
Just because you agree with it, doesn't mean it's true.
It's actually very rare that those things meet.

On the first two sentences; you're showing that Trump is the measuring stick for every single Republican. It's just so pathetic that your side put this dumb selfish liar on such a high pedestal, that everyone else is just measured against him. Why should Pence even need to have an excuse, for not running as Trump's VP? The asshole tried to have him killed by an angry mob. I know Republicans are cucks, but do you think that Pence needs an excuse, to not be the biggest cuck of them all? WHY?

“Gas prices are down back to where they were before Russia invaded Ukraine.”

True
By tecsan [Ignore] 15,Feb,23 01:32 other posts
But they are not down to pre mr magoo, nor is the border closed and what about inflation?
By #610414 15,Feb,23 08:47
Prior to Mr Magoo there was a pandemic. No one used gasoline. Prices for a gallon of gas went south. Old Joe could have another pandemic imported if you want. The border wasn't close during the Clown's tenure, or Obama, or Bush Jr, or Clinton, or Bush Sr, or Reagan, or Carter, or..............fill it in. You want to know something? It will never, ever, be closed. I suggest you learn Spanish. What about inflation? Part is due to the pandemic. Supplies got scarse, prices went up. Then, we got to thank the Clown for getting us into a trade war with a country (China) that we use as a super store. But, let's get real. The cost of gas could go down to pennies per gallon, bread could be free, and Mexicans could start going to France. You and the Repuckers would find something else to bitch about Old Joe. Let me help you. Did you know the difference between Biden and bidet is a capital "B" and a "t"?
By tecsan [Ignore] 15,Feb,23 21:27 other posts
Thanks, you refer to him as mr magoo. Friends of mine refer to him as bozo. The border may not have been completley closed with TRUMP but atleast it was a hell of a lot more secure. As a matter of fact I do believe it was more secure with obummer, both Bush's (I love that word/name), Reagan, oh forgot about cigar man and Carter (which was one of the biggest jokes on the US til now-hell mr magoo gets that recognition now). Over half of my family speak Spanish fluently. (I see no need to learn it though). Do you really think all that are crossing illegally speak fluent Spanish? Yes Trump called it right, little china is a supermart for Americans. So why should they not be taxed on their BS? Now why should they not be assessed a fine for sending the china virus our way? We have beaten all the china viruses so far. We cannot upset china though the libtards are making millions off that child labor of the CCP.
By #610414 16,Feb,23 14:08
An interesting point I learned the other day. There's no official language at the US Federal level.
We have this blind obsession with the southern border. First, Most undocumented immigrants didn't enter this country through Tijuana, where news cameras have captured images of thousands of immigrants seeking refuge during recent months. And they didn't enter near the border town of McAllen, Texas, which the president visited Thursday during the 20th day of a partial government shutdown fought over constructing additional barriers on the Southern border. When it comes to people in the country without proper documentation, the majority of them didn't cross the Mexican border at all. Most of them came to the United States legally — but then don't leave. About 700,000 travelers to the United States overstayed their visas in fiscal 2017, the most recent year for which the Department of Homeland Security has published figures. DHS estimated that, as of Sept. 30, 2017, the end of that fiscal year, more than 600,000 of those travelers were still in the U.S.

only registered users can see external links

Second, due to the above facts, no, I don't believe illegals speak fluent Spanish, but, different languages. And, even in the southern border, there's Haitians, Brazilians, and a few Europeans.--------------------------------------- added after 10 minutes
What Trump thought is not revelant, or yours or mine, for that matter. It's what the Chinese thought about it that counts. Imagine the only supermarket in your town gets mad at you and tells you, "From now on you get to shop only on Wednesdays and we'll charge you 30% more for being an asshole. Oh, BTW, lay off on our UNDERAGED stock clerks. If you don't like it you come and stock the shelves.--------------------------------------- added after 19 minutes
Let me remind you, the Republican CEO's of large companies decided in the last 60 yrs it was more profitable moving operations to China and other Asian countries due to low labor costs (traditionally the biggest necessary cost of business). And, the mostly Republican administrations let them go nilly-willy. We, the left (not necessarily Democrats) are the ones who cried out about child labor in China and other places. Now, because it doesn't suit you, Repuckers, are squaking? Haha, come up with something else. 🤣🤣😈
By tecsan [Ignore] 16,Feb,23 21:56 other posts
I do like the name Repucker, yep we have to pucker when a cognitive impaired mr magoo wins. Some of what you said I will find out how truthful it is. It was my understanding that the former president was the one that pissed off China and all the businesses that move to China, because he imposed tariffs on the crap (yes crap) coming from China. ALL imports should include a tariff unless the Country doing the importing does not impose a tariff on us when we import to they're country. Now I do believe that is pretty much common sense.

You do not live here and see all the illegals. I bet you do not have people coming up to you saying I am illegal and there is not shit you can do about. They just say your pres. invited us. Many do not speak English which I have a friend that sometimes interprets for me, but yes not all are Spanish speaking. I do believe that many if not most illegals crossed on the southern border. You mentioned some numbers (I believe 700,000) overstayed they're welcome. Ok, deport they're sorry asses. We know where they are right? Now do a little more research and see if the southern border crossings out weigh your (700,000) number. Hell, one year or probably 6 months outweighs that miniscule number.
By #610414 17,Feb,23 10:43
I live in Miami, Florida. You can't go to the mailbox without bumping into a refugee and the county is full of illegals Most of our stores have signs that say, "WE SPEAK ENGLISH" 🤣 In this city English is THE second language. So, don't come and cry in my shoulder. My husband is Latin, my kids, all, have married first generation Latins and our holidays are spent with Cuban, Nicaraguan and Argentine nationals.--------------------------------------- added after 26 minutesI believe you are right in your numbers regarding illegals. What you fail to say is that the minute a migrant steps on US soil without papers, he's considered an illegal entrant. That doesn't mean much when you consider that Border Patrol reports 2.4 million migrant arrests at southwest border this year (2022) the most ever. That means that many, if not most, are detained and sent back. Those that get in are a big number, but, what do you suggest? It has to be legal, effective and humane. I'll wait for your answer sipping on a Cuban Mojito.🤣😈
