Your views, thoughts or simply opinions. The Economy is not well (understatement). I know there are some here that will try to link the country they are residing in as problems of the USA. Sorry the USA cannot be responsible for 100% of the problems in the world nor should they be expected to help repair all problems.

None of us are perfect but we should know not to put cognitively challenged people in positions of power.

"Republican lawmakers this year passed an unprecedented bevy of bills targeting the authority of state and local election officials, a power grab that might allow partisan legislators to overturn future election results by claiming there was fraud."
only registered users can see external links

In other words making it easier for the State Legislators to do fraud, without
any accountability to the courts, secretaries of state or even state constitutions.
It's what was needed to do Trump's fake elector scheme, without getting caught.
They want to claim 'Fraud!', without needing to prove fraud, and then change the results.
They are keeping up the fight to destroy democracy.

It’s a case of tic for tat the democrats keep going after president trump with phony allegations had they of dropped it and walked away we never would have went after row versus wade in the first place and now this case I’m very proud of my political party for fighting back and sticking it to the democrats
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 01,Nov,22 13:27 other posts
I don't even believe anymore that you still believe that the allegations are phony.
You just keep saying it, because you need team Trump to win.

You even understand that what Republicans are doing is cheating. You just call it
'tic for tat'. But if Democrats really won by using fraud, Republicans would fight fraud,
by organizing checks and balances on elections.
However, they are trying to make fraud easier and that is not consistent with a party
that lost because the other party used fraud.

The Republicans lost all their lawsuits about their claims of fraud. It was a lie.
And meanwhile Democrats are piling on the evidence of fraud by the Republicans.
I see one party using the law and I see another party doing more cheating.
And your brain is messed up badly, if you think that's the same.
By #610414 01,Nov,22 13:36
Throwing out Roe v Wade was a right wing objective since it's passage by SCOTUS in the 1970's. It's been fueled by that joke of a religion, the Southern Baptist. It happened that three justices either retired or died on The Clown' watch and he was able to change the political composition of the court.
Those phony allegations may end up with an indictment and jail term for Trump. You want to be proud of that? So be it, but, answer this. What Democrat has ever gotten into as much trouble as Trump, and why would you think Democrats would loose time and money going after a man that is no longer in office and has been proven a loser? It's because a person of interest in a crime or crimes has to be brought to justice. Be proud, Mountain Man. Be proud.

We have some investigation on Biden coming up to I guess they are all crooked
By #610414 02,Nov,22 12:38
The lesser of two evils. 👿
And what exactly is Biden accused of?

Also, Republicans are planning to impeach Biden. They don't know what for yet, but they know that they will think of something.

Overall 10 House Republicans have either introduced or sponsored a total of 21 articles of impeachment against Mr. Biden and his top officials. All completely bogus, but I'm sure you'll think those are all honest allegations.

That's not an answer, because you don't have one.
So you're just doubling down on nonsense.

Trump broke the law in dozens of ways.
Biden is just doing some of the things he promised his voters: democracy.

It like saying "You have the audacity to report me to the police for burning down your house? Now I'll kill your whole family.".

Violence........... this is what you want? You want to be part of a third world country? Another banana republic where if you don't like the government you stage a coup? Why have a Constitution? Let's all strap 5lbs of iron to our hips and make the end of a gun barrel the law of the land.
You know what? You are, collectively, POOR LOOSERS.
By dgraff [Ignore] 04,Nov,22 08:42 other posts
Its not what I would want but it will eventually have to be so we might as well get it over with
By #610414 04,Nov,22 11:56
Get it over, yes, but, by the ballot box. You are a business man. You didn't overcome difficulty by violence. You got your head around it and persevered. Look, I hope it turns out my way, but, either way, we owe all those that came before us to find a good way. I'm betting on you and Phart and CC54, to get us there.

You just don't get it do you? Making a mockery of what I said.
These are tough times for this country .and nothing is going in a direction to make it better .How long do you think people should have to suffer before enough is enough?
By #610414 04,Nov,22 21:23
Making mockery? Don’t you think bringing the Pre-revolution English monarchy is a bit much? People have to endure whatever they voted for. That’s the way it should be. The ballot box is the way to change it.
By phart [Ignore] 05,Nov,22 08:46 other posts
The Revolution that lead to our Constitution and the country we live in now, with the freedom to argue as we are right now without being in prison, was violent, deadly, and lead to much suffering.BUT It got England and it's bullshit OUT OF our country and allowed us to choose our leadership.
BUT now,the situation is dire in the US again. It is because of government is no longer for the people,or of the Average American. It is a few blue counties in a few states running the entire thing.
People are fed up .
It was definitely a revenge thing for Clarence Thomas.

The three new stooges Trump put in are just Christian crusaders, who are handpicked by Leonard Leo, the leader of the Federalist Society; a bunch of Christian extremists, who don't like the separation between church and state and spend hundreds of millions in dark money to take over the Judiciary.

What is so difficult about proving who you are before voting?
By #610414 08,Dec,22 16:20
Some people do have that difficulty. Should we let them loose their right to vote or should we find an accomodation?

Hollywood mongoloids threaten to leave Twitter... Sounds exactly like their piss stain threats to leave the US and move to Canada. Of course that never happens and most of these hypocrites would not even be allowed into Canada into the first place! Too many have criminal records!

Oh my goodness, the poor liberal-democrat babies might be exposed to a opposing view point.
Poor bastards.
Suck it up candiass liberal whinybags ,after November, you may not matter anyway.
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 30,Oct,22 12:58 other posts
You were already allowed to give your right-wing view points on Twitter.
The only thing not allowed was hate-speech, calls for violence and constant racism,
you right-wingers seem to think is important speech worthy of 'communicating'.

That the use of the N-word has skyrocketed since Elon took over Twitter is telling.
Is that an 'opposing view point' that liberals need to be exposed to?

By phart [Ignore] 30,Oct,22 15:05 other posts
reading the definition of the word in a vintage dictionary would help alot.
Sure it mentions the slang use even in 1920 but still,it was a lifestyle more so than a people.
I will try to find the dictionary and photo that section for you.
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 30,Oct,22 15:09 other posts
So what? Just because a word was in a dictionary in times where racism
was the standard, it should now be good taste to still use?
By phart [Ignore] 30,Oct,22 15:18 other posts
IF everyone would stop using it perhaps.
BUT even white people ,like Cat here on this forum, thinks it is perfectly fine for blacks to use the word in reference to each other as a word of endearment I think was what she said once.
It is a double standard for it to be racist for whites and hispanices to use the word but ok for blacks.
If it is not ok for 1,it should not be ok for any. That is my biggest gripe about it.
By Sir-Skittles [Ignore] 30,Oct,22 17:00 other posts
I am sure all the blacks who use it daily at each other, will stop it on Twitter now too
By phart [Ignore] 30,Oct,22 19:45 other posts
The word will never leave the American vocabulary totally. It is ingrained and sadly some folks are perceived as living the definition of the word. Until you can turn on the tv on Tuesday night and no longer hear about yet another shooting in a certain part of town or sit at the stop light and hear songs being played calling women less derogatory names, it will never go away.
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 31,Oct,22 04:48 other posts
Let's say you are right, was you being allowed to say the n-word on Twitter, necessary to communicate your idea's? As far as I know, it's OK to say the n-word here, but I've never seen you say the n-word. Still you seem to be able to communicate your view points, to the best of your ability.
What freedom of speech was missing on Twitter then, that right-wingers needed
to communicate their view points?

And is Elon Musk going to do what you all wanted?

I don't think it's possible for any group of people to be racist to themselves, but I do agree that it would help black people if they all stopped using the n-word themselves. However, some rappers using the n-word for themselves or the worst people among them, is different than a white person using the n-word for any black person or group of black people.
It's the same difference as between any fat person calling themselves a 'fatso' and being called 'Fatso!' by some random skinny guy on the street. It would feel better to the fat person, if the person calling them 'Fatso!' is just as fat or fatter.
It's a group prerogative.

Elon Musk is great is he not?
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 02,Nov,22 05:30 other posts
I'm neutral about Elon Musk. I like that he made EV's cool and pulled innovation on that front. His boring company has potential to help alleviate congestion in cities. I'm neutral about SpaceX. And I do think he's going into Twitter with maybe the right intentions, but a whole lot of stupid ideas about it and making a big mess of it.

If you want to have the free public square of ideas, you don't want it privately owned by a billionaire. It should be a public service and it's shouldn't be controlled by algorithms who are designed to pull people to the furthest extremes of ideas they once showed any interest in. That's not a public square, that's a rabbit hole. It should be designed to challenge people's beliefs and make people think. And there should also be some moderation, to make sure people are not threatening, doxing or scamming each other or posting illegal content from child molesters.

Having that publicly owned free public square of ideas is probably not realistic,
so if Elon Musk turns Twitter close to something like my ideal, I would be pleased
and I might even join Twitter. However with his current ideas, I would have left,
if I was on Twitter.

I am glad Elon is a friend to the US and it's allies. We would be in a world of hurt if he was in russia or north korea.
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 04,Nov,22 10:43 other posts
Why? Do you think he would have become this wealthy in russia or north korea?

You keep idolizing guys like Elon. He was born in wealthy family and he had the opportunities most people don't have. He's not stupid and he has an enterprising mindset, but it's easy to take risks, when your family backs up your mistakes. Besides that, he also lucked out a couple of times. I agree, everything he did before 2000, were good ideas, but it all could have turned the other way if he had better competition or some bad luck.

At some point he became rich enough to just buy companies, and because like you, most Americans think "he's successful, so he's a genius", it's easy to find investors for ideas that no one else would get funded. However, there are thousands of people just like Elon Musk, who made similar choices and didn't get lucky. Looking at the end result of Elon Musk, he comes over as a genius. If you have a 1000 people tossing coins, someone will have heads 10 times in a row. That person is not smarter than the rest, it was just chance. But if you then give that person 100 million dollars to invest, they will probably turn out fine, if they are not completely stupid.

Looking at the choices Elon makes, he's not stupid, but he's certainly not a genius.
Paying 44 billion for Twitter isn't by far the only dumb thing he did.

Elon is successful because he surrounds himself with people even smarter than he is.
That would work for a person in a political office to if they would do it.But politicians want people following their lead, not helping pave the way.

By phart [Ignore] 03,Nov,22 22:53 other posts
what can you do on it besides argue?
Is the fire department socialism?
Is the United States Postal Service socialism?
Why is government control worse than billionaire control?

Is the Washington Post better now it's owned by Jeff Bezos?
Do you switch companies, every time it's bought by a different billionaire?
Is that's what will be left of democracy; choose the billionaire you support?
