I close my eyes only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
Now, don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind (all we are is dust in the wind)
Dust in the wind (everything is dust in the wind), everything is dust in the wind (the wind)

I just flew in from the windy city
The windy city is mighty pretty
But they ain't got what we've got
No siree!
They've got shacks up to seven storeys
Never see any morning glories
But a step from our doorway
We've got 'em for free.
They've got those
Minstrel shows
Pearly ladies in the big chapeaux
Private lawns
Public parks
For the sake of civic virtue
They've got fountains there that squirt you.
I just flew in from the windy city
The windy city is might pretty
But they ain't got what we've got
I'm telling ya, boys!
We've got more life in Deadwood city
Than in all of Illinois.
You should have seen 'em a-window shopping
a-Window shopping with eyes a-popping
At the sights that you see there,
Yes siree!
Press a bell and a moment later
Up you go in an elevator
Just as fast as a polecat
a-climbing a tree.
I heard claim
Hundreds came
To a thing they call a baseball game.
Cigar stores, revolving doors
They've got new inventions coming
'stead of indoor, outdoor plumbing.
I just flew in from the windy city
The windy city is mighty pretty
But they ain't got what we've got,
I'm telling ya, boys!
I ain't a-swapping half of Deadwood
For the whole of Illinois.

Guess who's back, back again
Shady's back, tell a friend
Guess who's back, guess who's back,
Guess who's back. Guess who's back?
[Verse 1]
I created a monster, cuz nobody wants to
See Marshall no more they want Shady
I'm chopped liver
Well if you want Shady, then this is what I'll give ya
A little bit of me mixed with some hard liquor
Some vodka that will jumpstart my heart quicker
Then a shock when I get shocked at the hospital
By the Dr. when I'm not cooperating
When I'm rocking the table while he's operating "Hey"
You waited this long to stop debating
Cuz I'm back, I'm on the rag and ovulating
I know you got a job Ms. Cheney
But your husband's heart problem is complicated
So the FCC won't let me be
Or let me be me so let me see
They tried to shut me down on MTV
But it feels so empty without me
So come on and dip, bum on your lips
Jump back jiggle a hip and wiggle a bit
And get ready cuz this is about to get heavy
I just settled all my lawsuits, "Fuck you, Debbie!"
[Chorus 2X]
Now this looks like a job for me
So everybody just follow me
Cuz we need a little controversy
Cuz it feels so empty without me..
[Verse 2]
Little hellions k¡ds feeling rebellious
Embarrassed, their parents still listen to Elvis
They start feeling like prisoners helpless
'Til someone comes along on a mission and yells "BITCH"
A visionary, vision is scary, could start a revolution
Pollutin' the air waves a rebel
So let me just revel and bask
In the fact that I got everyone kissing my ass
And it's a disaster such a catastrophe
For you to see so damn much of my ass you ask for me
Well I'm back (batman sound) fix your bent antennae
Tune it in and then I'm gonna enter
Into the front of your skin like a splinter
The center of attention back for the winter
I'm interesting, the best thing since wrestling
Infesting in your kids ears and nesting
Testing "Attention Please"
Feel the tension soon as someone mentions me
Here's my 10 cents my 2 cents is free
A nuisance, who sent, you sent for me..
[Chorus]
[Verse 3]
A tisk-it a task-it,
I go tit for tat with anybody who's talking this and that shit
Chris Kirkpatrick, you can get your ass kicked
Worse than them little Limp Bizkit bastards
And Moby, you can get stomped by Obie
You 36 year old bald headed say blow me
You don't know me, you're too old
Let it go its over, nobody listens to techno
Now lets go, just give me the signal
I'll be there with a whole list full of new insults
I've been dope, suspenseful with a pencil
Ever since Prince turned himself into a symbol
But sometimes man it just seems
Everybody only wants to dis-cuss me
So this must mean I'm dis-gusting
But it's just me I'm just obscene
Though I'm not the first king of controversy
I am the worst thing since Elvis Presley
To do Black Music so selfishly
And use it to get myself wealthy
"Hey" there's a concept that works
20 million other white rappers emerge
But no matter how many fish in the sea
It will be so empty without me..
[Chorus]

[Verse 1]
Come here little k¡ddies, On my lap
Guess who's back with a brand new rap?
And I don't mean rap as in a new case of ch¡ld mol@station accusation
(AH-AH-AH-AH-AH)
No worries, papa's got a brand new bag of toys
What else could I possibly do to make noise?
I done touched on everything, but little b0ys
That's not a stab at Michael
That's just a metaphor, I'm just psycho
I go a little bit crazy sometimes
I get a little bit out of control with my rhymes
Good God, dip, do a little slide
Bend down, touch your toes and just glide
Up the center of the dance floor
Like TP for my bunghole
And it's cool if you let one go
Nobody's gonna know, who'd hear it?
Give a little "poot poot", it's OK!
Oops my CD just skipped
And everyone just heard you let one rip
[Chorus]
Now I'm gonna make you dance
It's your chance
Yeah b0y shake that ass
Oops I mean g¡rl,
G¡rl, g¡rl, g¡rl,
G¡rl you know you're my world

[Verse 2]
Well, it's Friday and it's my day
Just to party all the way to Sunday
Maybe 'til Monday, I dunno what day
Everyday's just a holiday
Crusin' on the freeway
Feelin' kinda breezy
Got the top down, lettin' my hair blow
I dunno where I'm goin'
All I know is when I get there
Someone's gonna touch my body
Excuse me miss, I don't mean to sound like a jerk
But I'm feelin' just a little stressed out from work
Could you punch me in the stomach and pull my hair?
Spit on me, maybe gouge my eyes out? (Yeah)
Now, what's your name g¡rl?
What's your sign?
[Dr Dre] "Man, you must be up out your mind"
DRE! (AH-AH)
Beer Goggles! Blind!
I'm just tryna unwind now I'm

Now I'm gonna make you dance
It's your chance

[Verse 3]
It's Tuesday and I'm locked up
I'm in jail and I don't know what happened
They say I was running butt naked
Down the street screaming
(AH-AH-AH-AH-AH)
Well I'm sorry, I don't remember
All I know is this much
I'm not guilty
They said, "Save it, boy we gotcha you on tape
yellin' at an old lady to 'Touch my body!'"
Now this is the part where the rap breaks down
It gets real intense, no one makes a sound
Everything looks like it's 8 Mile now
The beat comes back and everybody lose themselves
Snap back to reality
Look it's B.Rabbit!
Yo you signed me up to battle!?
I'm a grown man!
Chubba chubba chubba chubba chubba chubbie
I don't have any lines to go right here so, chubba teletubbie!
Fella's (WHAT?!) Fella's (WHAT?!)
Grab you left nut, make your right one jealous (what?)
Black g¡rls
White g¡rls
Skinny g¡rls
Fat g¡rls
Tall girls
Small g¡rls
I'm callin' all g¡rls
Everyone report to the dance floor
It's your chance for a little romance or
Butt squeezin' it's the season
Just go (AH-AH-AH-AH)
It's so appeasin'
[Chorus]
Now I'm gonna make you dance
It's your chance
Yeah b0y shake that ass
Oops I mean g¡rl,
G¡rl, g¡rl, g¡rl,

UmMmMmm touch my body
UmMmMmm touch my body
Ooh boy just touch my body
I mean g¡rl just touch my body
Shady's back, tell a friend
Guess who's back,
Oh your red scarf matches your eyes
You closed your cover before striking
Your father had the ship fitter blues
Loving you has made me bananas
Oh you burnt your finger that evening
While my back was turned
Then I asked the waiter for iodine
But I dined all alone
(Repeat chorus)
Lyrics by Ira Gershwin
Music by Harold Arlen
A magnificent torch song written for the 1954 film "A Star Is Born" and spine-tingingly performed by its star, the legendary and much-mourned Judy Garland (1922-1969)
The night is bitter
The stars have lost their glitter
The wind blows colder
And suddenly you're older
And all because of the man that got away.
No more his eager call
The writing's on the wall
The dreams you dreamed have all
Gone astray.
The man that won you
Has run off and undone you
With hope you burn up
Tomorrow he might turn up.
There's just no let up
The live long night and day.
No more that eager thrill
For you've been through the mill
And never a new love will
Be the same.
Good riddance, goodbye
Every trick of his you're onto
But fools will be fools
And where's he gone to?
The road gets rougher
Its lonelier and tougher
That great beginning
Has seen a final inning
Don't know what happened
Its all a crazy game.
Ever since this world began
There is nothing sadder than
A one-man woman looking for
The man that got away.
The man that got away ...

Absolutely magnificent, in Judy's stunning performance, Harold's divine melody and Ira's haunting lyrics
Words by Paul Francis Webster
Music by Sammy Fain
Sung by the incomparable Doris Day in "Calamity Jane" (1953)
Once I had a s e c r e t love
That lived within the heart of me
Oh too soon my s e c r e t love
Became impatient to be free.
So I told a friendly star
The way that dreamers often do
Just how wonderful you are
That's why I'm so in love with you.
Now I shouted from the highest hills
Even told the golden daffodils
And now my heart's an open door
And my s e c r e t love's no s e c r e t anymore.
For crying out loud, I had to spell S E C R E T with spaces as I got those wretched asterisks before. WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG with a word like that? If it was good enough for lovely Doris more than 60 YEARS AGO, there's no reason why it shouldn't be good now. Pathetic.
Words by Paul Francis Webster
Music by Sammy Fain
performed by the one and only Doris Day (who will be 92 next week) in one of her greatest films, "Calamity Jane" (1953).
Oh the Deadwood Stage is coming on over the hills
Where the Injun arrows are thicker than porcupine quills
Dangerous land, no time to delay
Whip crackaway, Whip crackaway, Whip crackaway.
Oh, the Deadwood Stage is coming on over the crest
Like a homing pigeon that's hankering after its nest
Beautiful sky, a wonderful day
Whip crackaway, Whip crackaway, Whip crackaway.
We're heading straight for town
Loaded down
With a fancy cargo
Care of Wells Fargo, Illinois
Boy!
We'll be home tonight by the light of the silvery moon
And my heart is flunking like a devil that's plunking that tune
When I get home I'm fixing to say
Whip crackaway, Whip crackaway, Whip crackway.
Introducing Henry Miller
He's as fizzy as a fizzy sarsparilla
Ain't a showman any smarter
Operates the Golden Garter
When the cream of Deadwood city come to dine
And I'm glad to say he's a very good friend of mine.
Hi, Beau, say where d'you get them fancy clothes?
I know, off some fellow's laundry line.
Hi, Joe, say aren't you the prairie rose
Smelling like a water melon vine.
Here's the man the sherriff watches
On his gun there's more than twenty-seven notches
On the drawer there's no one faster
And you're flirting with disaster
When Bill Hickcock's reputation you malign
And I'm glad to say he's a very good friend
Of a friend of mine.
Oh my throat's as dry as a desert thistle in May
In the Golden Garter gonna wet my whistle of today
Last at the bar's a three-legged crow
Set 'em up, Joe, set 'em up, Joe, set em up, Joe.
Set 'em up, Joe!
* * * * Fabulous! Doris should have got an Oscar for her performance in this exuberant film which I've lost count how many times I've seen it and never stop enjoying it. This and "Love Me Or Leave Me" (a fine dramatic performance from Doris with songs) with James Cagney in 1955 and "Pillow Talk" with Rock Hudson in 1959 were her best three films yet she was only nominated for the last one. Shame on the academy. "Pillow Talk" also has a great supporting performance from the late Thelma Ritter, never a leading lady but ALWAYS fabulous in everything she did.
"Papa Was A Rollin' Stone"
It was the third of September
That day I'll always remember, yes I will
Cause that was the day, that my daddy died
I never got a chance to see him
Never heard nothin' but bad things about him
Momma I'm depending on you, to tell me the truth
Momma just hung her head and said, s0n
[Chorus 2x:]
Papa was a rolling stone, (my s0n)
Wherever he laid his hat was his home
And when he died, all he left us was a loan
Hey Momma!
Is it true what they say that Papa never worked a day, in his life
And Momma, some bad talk goin' round town sayin' that Papa had three outside ch¡ldren
And another wife, and that ain't right
Heard them talking Papa doing some store front preachin'
Talked about saving souls and all the time leechin'
Dealing in debt, and stealing in the name of the Lord
Momma just hung her head and said...
[Chorus 2x]
Hey Momma,
I heard Papa called himself a jack of all trades
Tell me is that what sent Papa to an early grave
Folks say Papa would beg, borrow, steal
To pay his bills
Hey Momma,
Folks say Papa never was much on thinking
Spent most of his time chasing women and drinking
Momma I'm depending on you, to tell me the truth
Momma looked up with a tear in her eye and said, s0n...
[Chorus 4x]
Words and music by Joni Mitchell (real name Roberta Anderson)
Bows and flows of angels' hair
And ice cream castles in the air
And feathered canyons everywhere
I've looked at clouds that way.
But now they only block the sun
They rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way.
I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down yet still somehow
Its clouds' illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all.
Moons and Junes and ferris wheels
The dizzy dancing way you feel
When every fairy tale comes real
I've looked at love that way.
But now its just another show
You leave 'em laughing when you go
And if you care don't let them know
Don't give yourself away.
I've looked at love from both sides now
From give and take yet still somehow
Its love's illusions I recall
I really don't know love at all.
Tears and fear and feeling proud
To say "I love you" right out loud
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds
I've looked at life that way.
But now old friends are acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I've changed
For something's lost but something's gained
In living every day.
I've looked at life from both sides now
From win and lose yet still somehow
Its life's illusions I recall
I really don't know life at all.

In my humble opinion, this is one of the most beautiful songs in the English language ever written. The graceful melody is divine (and its one I can play on my piano) and Joni's lyrics so powerful in their imagery. Describing clouds as "ice cream castles in the air and feathered canyons everywhere" is sheer genius. I'd kill to be able to write lyrics like that.

Taking it slow, but it's not typical
He already knows that my love is fire
His heart was a stone, but then his hands roamed
I turned him to gold and it took him higher
Well, I'll be your daydream, I'll be your favorite things
We could be beautiful
Get drunk on the good life, I'll take you to paradise
Say you'll never let me go
Deep in my bones, I can feel you
Take me back to a time only we knew
Hideaway
We could waste the night with an old film
Smoke a little weed on the couch in the back room
Hideaway
Say you'll never let me go
Say you'll never let me go
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
Say you'll never let me go
Say you'll never let me go
Say you'll never let me go
Say you'll never let me go
Deep in my bones, I can feel you
Take me back to a time only we knew
Hideaway
We could waste the night with an old film
Smoke a little weed on the couch in the back room
Hideaway
Say you'll never let me go
Say you'll never let me go
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
Say you'll never let me go

A big hit for the one and only Doris Day and one of the sexiest songs on the planet
Our lips shouldn't touch
Move over, darling
I like it too much
Move over, darling
That gleam in your eyes
Is no big surprise any more
'cause you fooled me before
I'm all in a spin
Move over, darling
About to give in
Move over, darling
And though its not right
I'm too weak to fight it somehow
'cause I want you right now.
The way you sigh
Has me waving my conscience goodbye
You can call me a fickle thing
But I'm practically yours
Forever because
I yearn to be kissed
Move over, darling
How can I resist?
Move over, darling
You captured my heart
And now that I'm no longer free
Make love to me.
The way you sigh
Has me waving my conscience goodbye
You can call me a fickle thing
But I'm practically yours
Forever because
I yearn to be kissed
Move over, darling
How can I resist?
Move Over darling
Please give me your love
I'm waiting for you
I need all your love
Honest I do
You captured my heart
And now that I'm no longer free
Make love to me
Move over, darling
Make love to me.
Move over, darling
Make love to me.

Doris's late son Terry Melcher had a hand in writing the lyrics, the title song of Doris's film of the same name, co-starring the late James Garner and back in 1964, that self-appointed bastion and guardian of public morals, the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) decided in their wisdom that the words were "too risque" and "sexually orientated" and banned the record from being played on radio. Doris Day banned! Can you imagine?
Incidentally, the script for the film of "Move Over, Darling" was a revamp of "Something's Got To Give" intended as a vehicle for Marilyn Monroe in 1962, two years earlier, but poor lovely Marilyn was in a bit of an emotional state by that time and after a few reels were shot, co-starring Dean Martin and Phil (Bilko) Silvers, the entire project was cancelled and a few months later Marilyn, bless her, was dead

Recorded by the great Petula Clark and a massive hit on both sides of the pond in 1964
When you're alone and life is making you lonely
You can always go
Downtown.
When you've got worries all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help I know
Downtown.
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
We can forget all our worries, forget all our cares
And go downtown,
Things will be great when you're
Downtown
You're gonna be all right there.
Don't hang and around and let your problems surround you
There are movie shows
Downtown.
Maybe you know some little places to go to
Where they never close
Downtown.
And you may find somebody there to kiss and understand you
Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand
To guide them along.
So maybe I'll see you there
We can forget all our worries, forget all our cares.
And go downtown,
Waiting for you tonight
Downtown
You're gonna be all right.
Downtown
Everything's waiting for you.

I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turn my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never shared
No one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools," said I, "you do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sound of silence
Words and music by Paul Simon
When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all.
I'm on your side
Oh, when times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
I'll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over trouble water
I will lay me down.
Sail on silver girl
Sail on by.
You're time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way.
I'm on your side
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over trouble water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.

Music by Michel Legrand
Round like a circle in a spiral,
Like a wheel within a wheel.
Never ending nor beginning
On an ever spinning reel.
Like a snowball down a mountain
Or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning
Running rings around the moon.
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space.
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind.
Like a tunnel that you follow
To a tunnel of its own.
Down a hollow to a cavern
Where the sun has never shone.
Like a door that keeps revolving
In a half forgotten dream.
Or the ripples from a pebble
Someone tosses in a stream.
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes of its face.
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space.
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind.
Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head.
Why did summer go so quickly
Was it something that she said?
Lovers walk along the shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Is the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway
And the fragments of a song.
Half remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
You were suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the colour of her hair.
A circle in a spiral,
A wheel within a wheel.
Never ending nor beginning
On an ever spinning reel.
As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind.

Written for the 1969 film "The Thomas Crown Affair" starring the late Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway and recorded by the late Noel Harrison, son of the late Rex Harrison.
An alternative final stanza goes:-
When you knew that it was over
In the autumn of goodbyes
For a moment you could not recall
The colour of his eyes.
These lyrics were used in recordings by the late Dusty Springfield and the late Dinah Shore and others.
They're not gonna happen
You paint yourself white and fill up with noise
But there'll be something missing
Now that you've found it, it's gone
Now that you feel it, you don't
You've gone off the rails
So don't get any big ideas
They're not gonna happen
You'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking
Sympathy For The Devil
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)
Yo!..... Yo!...... Yo!
Woo Good!....
Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith
And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game
I stuck around at St. Petersburg
When I saw it was a-time for a change
Killed the czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain
I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
Ah, what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, ah yeah
(whoo whoo, whoo whoo)
I watched with glee
While your kings and queens (whoo whoo)
Fought for ten decades (whoo whoo)
For the gods they made (whoo whoo)
I shouted out, (whoo whoo)
"Who killed the Kennedys?" (whoo whoo)
When after all (whoo whoo)
It was you and me (whoo whoo)
Let me please introduce myself (whoo whoo)
I'm a man of wealth and taste (whoo whoo)
And I laid traps for troubadours (whoo whoo)
Who get killed before they reached Bombay (whoo whoo, whoo whoo)
Pleased to meet you (whoo whoo)
Hope you guessed my name, (whoo whoo) oh yeah (whoo whoo)
But what's puzzling you (whoo whoo)
Is the nature of my game(whoo whoo), oh yeah, get down, baby (whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo, whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo) ..........
Pleased to meet you (whoo whoo)
Hope you guessed my name, (whoo whoo) oh yeah (whoo whoo)
But what's confusing you (whoo whoo)
Is just the nature of my game (whoo whoo) um yeah (whoo whoo)
Just as every cop is a criminal (whoo whoo)
And all the sinners saints (whoo whoo)
As heads is tails (whoo whoo)
Just call me Lucifer (whoo whoo)
'Cause I'm in need of some restraint (whoo whoo)
So if you meet me (whoo whoo)
Have some courtesy (whoo whoo)
Have some sympathy, (whoo whoo) and some taste (whoo whoo)
Use all your well-learned politesse (whoo whoo)
Or I'll lay your(whoo whoo) soul to waste,(whoo whoo), um yeah (whoo whoo)
Pleased to meet you (whoo whoo)
Hope you guessed my name, (whoo whoo) um yeah (whoo, whoo)
But what's puzzling you (whoo whoo)
Is the nature of my game, (whoo whoo) um mean it, (whoo whoo) get down
(whoo whoo) (whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo) (whoo whoo)
Woo, who (whoo whoo)
Oh yeah, get on down (whoo whoo)
Oh yeah (whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo, whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo, whoo whoo)........
Oh yeah! (whoo, whoo)
Tell me baby,(whoo whoo) what's my name(whoo whoo)
Tell me honey,(whoo whoo) can ya guess my name (whoo whoo)
Tell me baby, (whoo whoo) what's my name (whoo whoo)
I tell you one time, (whoo whoo) you're to blame (whoo whoo)
Woo Who (whoo whoo)
Woo Who (whoo whoo)
Woo (whoo whoo) alright (whoo whoo)
Oh, who who, oh, who who, (whoo whoo) oh, who who
Oh Yeah (whoo whoo)
Woo, who who (whoo whoo) Woo, who who (whoo whoo)
Ah yeah, a-what's my name (whoo whoo)
Tell me, baby, (whoo whoo) what's my name (whoo whoo)
Tell me, sweetie, (whoo whoo) what's my name (whoo whoo)
Woo, who, who (whoo whoo)
Woo, who, who (whoo whoo)
Woo, who, who (whoo whoo)
Woo, who, who (whoo whoo)
Oh, who, who (whoo whoo)
Woo, who, who (whoo whoo)
Ah, yeah!
Whoo whoo
Woo Who Who
Whoo whoo
"Stressed Out"
I wish I found some better sounds no one's ever heard,
I wish I had a better voice that sang some better words,
I wish I found some chords in an order that is new,
I wish I didn't have to rhyme every time I sang,
I was told when I get older all my fears would shrink,
But now I'm insecure and I care what people think.
My name's 'Blurryface' and I care what you think.
My name's 'Blurryface' and I care what you think.
Wish we could turn back time, to the good ol' days,
When our momma sang us to sl33p but now we're stressed out.
Wish we could turn back time, to the good ol' days,
When our momma sang us to sl33p but now we're stressed out.
We're stressed out.
Sometimes a certain smell will take me back to when I was young,
How come I'm never able to identify where it's coming from,
I'd make a candle out of it if I ever found it,
Try to sell it, never sell out of it, I'd probably only sell one,
It'd be to my bruther, 'cause we have the same nose,
Same clothes homegrown a stone's throw from a creek we used to roam,
But it would remind us of when nothing really mattered,
Out of student loans and treehouse homes we all would take the latter.
We used to play pretend, give each other different names,
We would build a rocket ship and then we'd fly it far away,
Used to dream of outer space but now they're laughing at our face,
Saying, "Wake up, you need to make money."
Yo.
We used to play pretend, give each other different names,
We would build a rocket ship and then we'd fly it far away,
Used to dream of outer space but now they're laughing at our face,
Saying, "Wake up, you need to make money."
Yo.
Wish we could turn back time, to the good ol' days,
When our momma sang us to sl33p but now we're stressed out.
Wish we could turn back time, to the good ol' days,
When our momma sang us to sl33p but now we're stressed out.
Used to play pretend, used to play pretend, bunny
We used to play pretend, wake up, you need the money
Used to play pretend, used to play pretend, bunny
We used to play pretend, wake up, you need the money
We used to play pretend, give each other different names,
We would build a rocket ship and then we'd fly it far away,
Used to dream of outer space but now they're laughing at our face,
Saying, "Wake up, you need to make money."
Yo.
I am the hungry shark, fast and merciless
But the only girl that could talk to him just couldn't swim
Tell me what's worse than this
And it echoes in the halls
They danced along the walls
The memories of your ghost
You are the one that I used to love
And I'm still in love, but I've never loved you the most
I've seen better days
So unafraid in my youth
I can't breathe, much less believe
You're getting everything you had
Every little thing you had
A pure love unrehearsed
I've seen your best and worst
And at your worst, you're still the best
But at my best, I am the worst
It's a curse
Your eyes are lined in pain
Black tears don't hide in rain
And I tied you to the tracks
When I turned around, I heard the sound
I hit the ground, I know there's no turning back
I've seen better days
So unafraid in my youth
I can't breathe, much less believe the truth
Better days, so unafraid in my youth
I can't breathe, much less believe the truth
Black ocean, cold and dark
I am the hungry shark, fast and merciless
But the only girl that could talk to him, she couldn't swim
Tell me what's worse than this
What's worse is all the coke
The ice that numbs my throat if only for the night
My muscles will contract, your bones will crack
It's just a fact cause I am here to win this fight
I can't fucking breathe, much less believe the truth
I pick up a gun, aim for the sun, and shoot
Better days, so unafraid in my youth
I can't breathe or believe the truth
Your eyes are lined in pain
Black tears don't hide in rain
And I tied you to the tracks
When I turned around, I heard that sound
Brain insane, Shooga whooga bah
Southwest voodoo's in the haugh
Wicked voodoo, doped out killer
Magic, dark magic
Met this **** named Louie Lou
He thought he could fuck with this voodoo
So I turned his head into a lima bean
And then flicked it off his shoulders
From Mookan House to Shangra La
Egyptian Pharaoh, coompata
Follow me, and join us as we pray
To the **** moons of Coonga Del Ray
Walked in the lunchroom chantin' spells
With bamboo bitches and voodoo bells
Got my own food, who wants some?
I got possum nipples and raccoon tongue
A non-believer once started to laugh
So I launched a fireball up his punk-ass
Then everybody heard him squeal
"This voodoo shit's for real!"
It just takes...
A head from a newt, a wing from a bat
A tongue from a snake, a tail from a rat
A neck from a chicken, an eye from a crow
And a little bitty itty bitty little drip of Faygo
Brain insane, Shooga whooga bah
Southwest voodoo's in the haugh!
Wicked voodoo, doped out killer
Magic, dark magic
Crypt on Verner on a windy night
You see voodoo scribblings in the moonlight
Painted all on the city street
It's the ancient craft of gang banging
Hey! J! What's in the bag?
A shrunken head, and shriveled scrotum sac
Why? Ya think voodoo's fake?
Come to the graveyard, I'll make the dead wake
"Raise, raise, shooga-boom ba.
**** no longer, raise, quick
Raise, raise, shooga-boom ba,
Leave us alone, you fuckin' punk bitch!"
Well, fuck it, I ain't that good yet
But one day you can bet I'm a freak
We'll make the whole world dance with the dead
And just like my homey said
It only takes...
A head from a newt, a wing from a bat
A tongue from a snake, a tail from a rat
A neck from a chicken, an eye from a crow
And a little bitty itty bitty little drip of Faygo
Voodoo running from my magic
Voodoo running from my magic
Voodoo running from my magic
I'll make a voodoo doll out of ya and flick your nuts
A head from a newt, a wing from a bat
A tongue from a snake, a tail from a rat
A neck from a chicken, an eye from a crow
And a little bitty itty bitty little drip
A head from a newt, a wing from a bat
A tongue from a snake, a tail from a rat
A neck from a chicken, an eye from a crow
And a little bitty itty bitty little drip of Faygo
Brain insane, Shooga whooga bah
Southwest voodoo's in the haugh
Wicked voodoo, doped out killer
Magic, dark magic
Brain insane, Shooga whooga bah
Southwest voodoo's in the haugh
Wicked voodoo, doped out killer
Magic, dark magic
You cannot hide in the darkness
Can you hear the rumble?
Can you hear the rumble that’s calling?
I know your soul is not tainted
Even though you’ve been told so
Can you hear the rumble?
Can you hear the rumble that’s calling?
I can feel the thunder that’s breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
I can feel the thunder that’s breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
A candle casting a faint glow
You and I see eye to eye
Can you hear the thunder?
Can you hear the thunder that’s breaking?
Now there is nothing between us
From now our merge is eternal
Can’t you see that you’re lost?
Can’t you see that you’re lost without me?
I can feel the thunder that’s breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
I can feel the thunder that’s breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
Can’t you see that you’re lost without me?
I can feel the thunder that’s breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
I can feel the thunder that’s breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
