Regarding what I prefer to look at - I like both. However, I prefer moderate to sparse pubes unless they're blond or ginger.

Personally - I tried shaving mine back when I was in my 20s, but I had to keep myself shaved really smooth. If some stubble started to grow, I felt itchy/scratchy down there - until they grew long enough to no longer be "stubbly". Not comfortable at all. Keeping myself smooth down there was too much of a hassle, so I let 'em grow wild.
