Sad news this morning (22.12.21), the British actress and singer Sally Ann Howes has passed away at the age of 91. She was the daughter of an actor named Bobby Howes and will best be remembered for her role as "Truly Scrumptious" in the 1968 film version of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", a cut price Julie Andrews whom the studio really wanted to reunite her with Dick van Dyke after "Mary Poppins". But Julie was too expensive by then so Sally Ann graciously stepped in instead. R.I.P. Sally Ann.
