So i wrote an adult book called the "Danes of Calandria" and published it on Amazon. Does anyone have an idea on how I can advertise an adult themed book? If it helps, it is about three girls with super powers in a fantasy, sword and sorcery, type setting. Any suggestions are appreciated, cause I am at a loss. I've wrote blogs of fictional stories on here in the past, always with positive feedback. Hoping people will enjoy a longer story too, but i don't know how to get it out there. Thanks.

Do "adult" stores (Just For Lovers etc.) sell books? Perhaps take a few copies and talk with the owner?

I am the owner and am confident people will like the story, especially since it's only a buck. Just dont know how to promote it.

Just ask regular customers if they want a free copy after they spend... $30 or whatever amount you feel is fair. Make sure you ask because a lot of people wouldn't want such a book sitting around their home. Getting your name out there is the name of the game. Next book they pay for. As a business owner you would benefit by reading a book on marketing. Good luck!!

Maybe i can hand them out in a bar.

I wouldn't recommend handing them out in a bar. A lot of them would just end up in the trash. I think the love shop industry is one that you know and are involved in so start with what you know. Do you ever attend trade shows for your business? If you give about five copies to other like minded businesses that have their own booths they could read them if they like or share a few with their friends in the business thereby getting eyes on pages. You wouldn't make any money on them but it would get your name out there and that's a good start.

No, first book. That's good advice though.

Thanks, Luv. It's only a dollar, but if i still never sell a copy at least i had fun writing it.

You've already sold a copy, so you're definitely on your way. Wish you the best on this wonderful project of yours.

Just curious if you finished it? It wasn't very long. Any thoughts?

Getting a book published, whether it be an erotic/pornographic novel or otherwise, is very difficult. I can only suggest you search for a group of publishers that publish your type of book, send a copy off to all of them and hope for the best. The very best of luck with that and if you like writing shorter sexually themed stories, there is Literotica.com which publishes sex stories on a variety of themes, straight, gay, bisexual, kinky etc so submitting something there would almost certainly be accepted and gain you a wide readership.

Have no advice for you sorry to say, the people I do know who have published are academics and professionals in their field so they have an established following already. Even the academics sometimes joke about not selling though lol.
Do wish you the best of luck!
