Sometimes if you click on the "anonymous" word of the message it gives you the IP address of the sender I just sent myself an annonymous message and this is what came up


Generally ANONYMOUS is a person who is not registered on the site for some reason.

Sometimes anonymous is a member who forgot to log-in.

Sometimes anonymous is a member who intentionally log-out to leave an abusive comment.

You can always disable anonymous comments on your pages in Your Account Options (change "comments mode")

Sure, members can disable anonymous comments but why would they want to?

The occasional nasty and anonymous comment gives those members something to complain about and make speculations on.
