Is it possible to use my points as a donation directly to another member....In other words, is there a way to just give someone a hundred of my points?
Of course you can always use the “donate” option to give points to another member. Understand that when you use that option the recipient receives only 75% of what is being donated. From time to time I use the “donate” option because it is quick. Yes, I am aware that in order for that member to receive 90 points from me, it will cost me 120 of my points. Of course you can always send a “gift” and if the recipient chooses, they can destroy said gift and in many situations, receive 50% of the value of that gift. Example, I gift you an entire apple pie that cost me 40 points, you destroy the pie and receive 20 points. The only gift that you receive “face value” on is the ANNIVERSARY heart, it costs me 50 points to send and in the event that you choose to destroy it, you will also receive the same 50 points. Now, there’s also a way of giving some points where it will provide some benefit to you and that’s when you vote on the pictures in a member’s gallery. If you choose that route, they receive approximately 66-67% however the only caveat you need to keep in mind that you should only vote on an individual picture no more that 2 times then move to the next picture. Example; it costs me 3 points to vote on your picture and you receive 2 points. You receive 2 points for up to 2 votes (from me or any member within a 10 day period) on the same picture. Should I want to vote 3 times or more, on the third vote and thereafter, you will receive only 1 point and that lasts for a 10 day period. The benefit to you using the voting option is that this method credits YOU and increases your score on the ACTIVITY METER. Ever wonder why some members have such high numbers? That’s not only because they are commenting on pictures, it’s also because they are voting on pictures, too!
