The other day, I posted something in another thread where I asked members what was the first word that popped into their head when they saw/heard the word "cheap"?
My first response was from
Whoknows and his reply was "perfume". That phrase, cheap perfume, made me instantly think of Journey's DON'T STOP BELIEVING. The post went in a different direction from what I planned but it was so much fun! Example, there were other responses to the word "cheap" that included shoddy, floozy and several more and
huxley999 was able to cite songs with those words in them!
Let's pick a RANDOM word and see if a song comes to mind. My guess is not every word will trigger a song to pop into our heads, but who knows. When this thread began in January, 2019, I was the only person selecting the "word" because it was my thread and I thought that I could do it myself. It began to be too much. There were several players/contributors from Europe, one more ORGANIZED than me, couple that with the time difference and the fun feature was becoming a "hot mess". I was repeating words because I would neglect to update the used word list, by the time I posted my word, some of the players were into their day and no longer online, etc. Andthisisme came to the rescue and has been a source of ideas and help. He maintains an official "used word list" on his page /blogs/50647.html (that's one hurdle) and he has assumed the responsibility of 4 days of selecting a word (that's another hurdle).
How about considering to committing to 1 or 2 days? Try it and determine whether it works or if it is too demanding and let me know?
