 | Many accounts are referred to (and subsequently deleted by) the abuse panel because of "web derived images" on a member's page. I have noticed, though, that only such photos of a sexual nature are included, while many members have posted "web derived images" on their pages that don't feature cocks or cunts.
The site guidelines don't specify that only sex photos taken from the web are forbidden: "massive posting of internet pictures or pictures stolen from other members." "Legally you can post only the pics you have legal rights for. Generally those are pics of yourself you made personally or pics of other persons you made personally and have their implicit permission to publish the photos. It's not exactly legal and is not permitted to post pics taken from internet on this site as in 99.99% cases you do not have authorization of the producer of those pics to publish them." This being the case, and in all fairness, shouldn't ALL "web derived images" be treated with equal judgement? |

If admin does not have an issue with BENIGN web derived pictures, why would you?
Why should one member be deleted because they post a pic of their favorite porn star, but another get a pass for posting an advertisement for their favorite roach spray?
According to the guidelines, both are equally ill*gal.
Both members should get "the usual message"...
First, no one pretends he's a roach spray while many people here post other people photos as their own straightforward or implied, not as "my favorite pornstar".
Second, no one will sue you for identity theft of a roach spray. And barely someone will sue for using an image of a popular roach spray here or anywhere else. Though some companies like PayPal and WU were kinda sensitive about mentioning their brands on porn-related sites in the middle of 2000es, but this does not seem actual anymore.
If such images are posted in private or for friends only I don't care. And I'm 99% sure no one will care. If such images are posted in public it may be speculated that I allow people to post such images in order to get more visitors and then monetize them one or another way. So it is implied copyright violation with intent of profit gains. Therefore I cannot permit this.
If someone post images of famous roach spray no one will imply that I try to get some kind of profits out of it on a porn site. Someone may, however, not like their brand on a site like this, but in this case they will write a complaint. But because such situation is very, very unlikely, I do not care either. If some time in a future I receive a complain like this I will specifically issue a rule like "posting images of Bugatti (or whatever it will be) brand of any kind is strictly forbidden". Until then you can post all you like.
However, you should consider this. If someone reports a profile to me for being abusive/rude and I go there and see only or overwhelming amount of internet humor crap on their page and no paid subscription, I will probably delete such profile without any second thoughts. This site is not dedicated to humor or internet trolling. You want to post funny pics and mock people - go to 4chan.
