Just heard the VERY SAD news that that great Broadway star who lived in London for many years and did t.v. comedies here too has passed on at the age of 89. Fabulous charisma which belied the fact she didn't have much of a singing voice but her professionalism and charm, plus her talent, carried her through. "Ladies Who Lunch" with her belting out "everybody rise, rise, rise!" over and over again and "Broadway Baby" are two of her finest performances. She will be MUCH MUCH missed. R.I.P. Elaine

I remember her in a sit-com on ITV in the 80's I think. Her co-star was Donald Sinden.can't remember what the title of the show was.
