Magnolia Thunderpussy was a real person who lived in San Francisco and she was not a porn star. She was from a well-to-do socially prominent family but back in the hippy days of the late sixties she went to court and had her name legally changed. She then opened a restaurant on Haight Street. After the restaurant closed, she kind of disappeared, but in the eighties (by that time she was in her fifties) she turned up again as the hostess in a North Beach restaurant and was still using the name Magnolia Thunderpussy. She has since passed away. RIP.
