Growing up my life has been dominated, no, not dominated,,influenced by the three men that have been my mentors, lovers, and friends,,,obviously, one was not a lover. These men are my Dad, my uncle and my ex-husband.
The music i like is a combination of their tastes and pieces I've found liking. I know there's other forums with similar topics,,anyone can post here but my postings are for my enjoyment,,music makes me forget some hard times...kisses to all
same here,,,when i was younger and more agile it got around that i liked to make love to "sweet dreams". I got top but was my ass whipped to a frenzy,,,can't move that fast anymore,,hahah
Aww, you just made my day! Music production is actually my profession, and this is THE song that influenced me the most into my musical path way back when I was 12 or 13. I love so many female artists, but Annie is my all time favourite. Also, you're the first person I've ever seen quoting the full title of the song too.
I like her rendition of "Summertime" although I like the Luis Armstrong/Ella Fitsgerald version better. Annie has a beautiful voice and i love to hear her but she's a little dark in her themes.
Oh Ella's version wins without doubt. My fave Annie songs are Why, Cold and A Thousand Beautiful Things. Fave Eurythmics songs are Sweet Dreams, There Must Be An Angel and I've Tried Everything
I know how you feel,,,,there are many ways to face death,, Fire has to be one of the most horrible of deaths. Jumping off a building takes unbelievable resolve. I hope they found peace.
Tommy Lee is still one of my favorite Gaza DJs. I hope Vybz Kartel will win his appeal case, because he has done so much for the genre. only registered users can see external links --------------------------------------- added after 2 minutes
And some German Dancehall. Probably my favorite group ever. Their music is uplifting, and their stage presence is immaculate. only registered users can see external links
I think Dutty Rock was the end of the much loved Dutty Cup Crew Paul that I grew up listening to. It was a good album, and shot him to an international level, but I just don't like his style anymore. --------------------------------------- added after 21 minutes
A good track after he went international, but Leftside/Dr.Evil is who really shines.

Since I am an amateur musician myself I am partial to live music, but here is the consummate studio band. Some of the performers were also in The Doobie Brothers.

I can't imagine how bad it must of have been for those trapped in the towers to consider it would be better to jump to their death...
