Whenever I vote for a president, I ALWAYS check to see if the candidate is, or was, a
former governor of a state. I like the idea of "promotion from within" which promotes
governors to the next level of political office. (Example: I voted for Johnson & Weld
in 2016 because BOTH were former governors.) I tend to think that this is the path to-
ward a "more perfect union."

Eligibility requirements

"Article Two of the Constitution stipulates that for a person to serve as president, the
individual must be a natural-born citizen of the United States, at least 35 years old,
and a resident of the United States for a period of no less than 14 years. A candidate
may start running their campaign early before turning 35 years old or completing 14 years of residency, but must meet the age and residency requirements by Inauguration Day.[21] The Twenty-second Amendment to the Constitution also sets a term limit: a president cannot be elected to more than two terms" ... "In addition, the Twelfth Amendment establishes that the vice-president must meet all the qualifications of being a president."

Thank you for your interest and comment, whatsupcocks.

I'm still baffled why the founding fathers didn't include the Native Indigenous Indian tribes as
citizens way back then. They were NOT anymore savage than was Pale Face.

Smallpox is horrendous but I haven't heard about it being spread by the use of blankets.
