this goes back before your time and the private chat rooms which if you misbehave the member whose chat room it is can ban/blacklist you from the room. that member then has the option to un-ban you at their pleasure. before on the main chat room it took 5 people to vote to ban you. you were banned for 4 weeks or 500 points from chat and the forum. there were a lot of gangs and alliances and fighting before and if you ran afoul of any of these for any reason they would gang up on you and ban you. maliciously. i was banned 4 times. to this day i dont know who did it or why. i suspect it was because i dont stand for bullying and and often stood up for some poor newbie getting persecuted. thats why i have so many points (over 3000 at one point), i was prepared to do battle with thees thugs. then admin had enough and here we are.
