I swam next to an identical turtle off the north shore of Kawai, Hawaii in 1998-1999.
It was about the size of a Volkswagen "bug" car. It was huge!
It swam past me [on my right side]; it looked to its left [at me] as it passed me!
It seemed to be "flying" through the water like birds fly through the air.
It flew more gracefully through the water than most birds fly through the air.
It was the most awesome experience that I've ever had! I'll never forget the experience!
I felt like I was swimming with one of the Gods!
