Is getting verified mean anything?

I have been thinking about this for a little while now and im still not sure. I thought about going through asking other members for the process but there are actually a lot less people verified than I thought there would be.

Austrian Couple is right. It's good for female members to prove who they are even though few care. It's also needed to enter some contests.

There is no real benefit for being verified. It's just the green checkmark on your page. Mostly interesting for female users to show all here that the pics on their page are from the user herself, not a fake account with pics from some nude/porn models (which is the majority here)
