I may be wrong but from what I understand it is just another picture-sharing facility for kids to exchange the usual smut on their mobile phones. Apparently the sender sends an image to the receiving party which only appears for a very brief time.

Just sent my first snap, to my first friend lol, I can see why it's popular, it's easy to do and I'm assuming the photos are deleted after viewing!
