It's February in Michigan a dreary day and I don't want to be at work.....

Well, I think it will be 82 in Michigan ( in July ).........
By #274357 14,Feb,13 20:42
Bella and I are steadfast at 27 degrees.

I think that most of the members might find 27 degrees confusing. You reported the temperature in Fahrenheit when most of the world is metric with temperature measured by Celsius. In St. Clair County, it is 2.7778 C ( or 37 F ). You are at -2.7778 C ( 27 F )

I guess I can't blame you there, Greg. The icy drive into work this morning was a real peach of a good time.
By #301038 15,Feb,13 14:25
Don't like a good drift on your way to work? I didn't have to deal with it for 5 years... lost my skill a little bit... but before, a good morning drift was a mandatory attribute of a drive to work.... nice adrenaline rush helps you wake up and come to your senses real quick, doesn't it?
By bella! [Ignore] 15,Feb,13 17:42 other posts
I THINK that I am relieved if I do not have to encounter any drifts. After my 50 drive that takes as little as 80 minutes and as long as 3 hours, has me ready for a nap OR a drink..... it all depends on what time I arrive at work.
By #274357 17,Feb,13 08:02
You can have a drink at work? Lucky devil.

No, it's not encouraged and i assure you that I do not carry a flask in my purse or stock my desk. I do work in the Renaissance Center, and for those that don't know, it is the world headquarters for GENERAL MOTORS. In the RenCen, there are many restaurants and several shops that sell miscellaneous sundries.

I think that if homes in America were build from brick and stone, there would be much less damage from hurricanes, tornados and storms....
By bella! [Ignore] 12,Feb,13 17:54 other posts
True that!
By #301038 14,Feb,13 18:36
and if teacher were compensated based on their students knowledge, we'd have much less illiterate people...

You know Peach, you're absolutely right about that!
By #13898 16,Feb,13 05:02
Here's the deal: It costs three times as much to build with brick and stone with no guarantee of proof against hurricane or tornado. If you get hit, it's cheaper to rebuild from the floor up than repair a damaged brick and stone.

I THINK that anyone who has a Carnival Cruise booked might want to THINK about it........

I THINK that our phenomenons of nature are amazing AND also, so frightening. What I'm referring to is the meteorite that whooshed over Russia. Watching it on the television from the comfort and safety of home, I was in awe. What was shown looked like a special effect from a Sci-Fi movie. Can you imagine the panic and horror, as well as the injuries the citizens sustained because of it? I hope that no SYD/SYC members had family and friends hurt.

I think; Doctors should be more punctual. If your appointment is at 9:00 a.m., why aren't you seen until it's almost 10:00 a.m.? Then they're in such a rush that they only spend 6 minutes with you? Ya better have an easy to deal with issue and remember to talk fast. Hmmmm............. There must be some doctors on SYD/SYC that can offer a plausible answer.

BTW Ray, I was thinking about how you're doing in Maine? Is the snow up to your waist Ray? I coulda picked a different body part but I didn't want to pick elbows. Don't be a perv Ray! Yeah, that's what I was thinking, up to your elbows!

WE got a total of 29 inches here in Augusta. The bad part was the wind,it was a fluffy snow and 50mph winds, so I ended up with a few MAJOR drifts, one was over 8 ft tall and streached across my drive way and the other one was as tall as the fence around my deck out back, couldn't even open the door to the deck till I shovled it out! Other than that, Everything is fine here! Typical winter here in Maine! lolThanks for asking though I am soooo ready for warm weather!
By #102374 14,Feb,13 22:19

i think therefore i am. Or something like that. If a tree falls in a forest and no-one is there to hear it, is there a sound?
