....That's one of the most interesting things about sex;...ie, it can't be intellectualised,..you have the desires you have and it's very difficult to analyse where these desires came from, if it's even possible.


The desire to see ones wife with another man is VERY common,.....'Forum' magazine did a survey about 20 years back and discovered that it is/was THE most common male fantasy anong hetero men in steady relationships,...if I recall correctly it was something like 25% to 30% or, 3 to 4 out of every 10 men canvassed.


My own view about this is that it's a throw back to when man was a tribal animal and lived communally around a chief/elder in a main abode. This went on till surprisingly recent times especially in country areas. It is thought that in the late medeival period English manor houses were more or less communal and during winter everyone of all social levels slept together in the great hall mainly to conserve body warmth. Only the lord of the manor slept on a high balcony overlooking the hall, probabaly because warmth rises and that was the most comfortable place to **** and have sex. Everyone in the hall must have seen or heard tho'! Both the Viking sagas and early English writers such as Chaucer are amazingly open and rude about sex in this context, so there was probaably a lot of sharing of wives/husbands.....


.....Monogamy is probably only a fairly recent idea, and 'private' sex even newer still!!

Personally, I have never felt this as a fantasy,...however, I HAVE fantasised about sharing sex and particularly with regard to sharing a woman or taking her energetically while her partner watches......But, I have no idea why!
