CANCEL CULTURE.

The majority of Democrats tended to see it as meaning “actions taken to hold others accountable” whereas only 36% of Republican conservatives believed that was accurate. And, more than a quarter of GOP respondents saw it negatively as “censorship of speech or history.” Relatively large percentages of Republicans also believed that it meant “canceling anyone they disagreed with,” “mean-spirited actions meant to cause others harm” and “an attack on traditional American society.”

Lollipop, it’s a bunch of 💩💩💩💩no matter how, who or why shouts about it. 😈

Your first two sentences are your opinion. Where’s the “meat”? Many Dumbocrats want Old Joe to drop out. That’s a legitimate want, but, the choice is his. So far, Hunter is in hot water over taxes and illegal gun possession. I’m not going to go to Joey getting money from other governments. The Repukers in The House are salivating to impeach him. They want to even the score about the Clown, but that will go as far as my dog taking a dump in his compound. 😈

Dgraff, you posted in Bella!'s thread:
"It’s a crock of shit is what it is those police officers should not be in prison in the first place and for what doing there job and quite well i might add"

They murdered Floyd. He was a human being. Those officers were tried and convicted by a jury of their peers. They didn't get railroaded. One man did not act as their judge, jury , and executioner like they did with Floyd.
Floyd may not have been a good person, but he deserved his day in court.

Banning decriminalization of drugs, while a good thing mostly, was not because of what you think. Ecuador in recent years has been overrun by Colombian drug cartels that have corrupted the government. They are the ones pushing for decriminalization. More power to him. I hope he succeeds. His countrymen seem to approve.

The point is not what he was but that he got murdered. I get that you couldn’t care less that he died. I doubt anyone really would have cared if one more loser had passed away, but, until his last dying breath, he had the right to do so on his own. He did not deserve to be murdered.
Whatever he was should not deviate your thinking that the perpetrator of this crime had it right. That’s it. Murder is the ultimate crime.

If your company closes, the money in your 401(k) doesn't disappear. The money will remain in your employer's plan unless the plan itself is terminated. In this case, the money in your account will roll over to another account on your behalf or get distributed directly to you.

By CAT 28,Nov,23 09:57
I doubt I should be calling him “Tuna can”

By CAT 28,Nov,23 09:54
Ok, Phart, just Google it. Woody58 has it right.
In the case of welfare that is provided to the citizens, considering the high levels of poverty in the United States, and considering the amount of oversight to those programs that try to provide a modicum of relief to our growing population living in poverty, the answer is that very few of them are actually “deadbeats”

Now, if you consider the amount of Corporate Welfare that is handed out indiscriminately to the corporations who plunder our economy without restraint, and if you realize that this amount of handouts are many times over what poor people are allowed, and if you object to handing out welfare to people and corporations who are already wealthy, you will understand that all corporate welfare recipients are deadbeats.

Honey, I, truly don’t want to find out just how short your dick is. I am one that loves to be adversarial, but, no one is bickering here. As I see it, everything that happens on site, has to be explained or thought that it’s a plot to get Biden

I put my foot in my mouth more often than I like and it usually leads to a huge on line fistfight. If I post in my thread, I won’t be able to give myself a black eye, nor feel I owe someone any explanations. If the lady that owns this thread feels ok with me visiting occasionally, great. If you paid 33% of your paycheck to taxes, someone was stealing from you. Current tax code says that the maximum tax collected is 20% and at the end of the year there’s an adjustment. Either you owe money or you get a refund.
Independent contractors don’t pay any taxes until they file at the end of the year.
Overtime is taxed at 20% regardless what your regular tax rate is (16% for example)
Income taxes are generally Federal taxes. Some states also tax income, but, in any case, there’s a reason for the taxes. The military doesn’t sell cookies to finance an army. The roads are not built by Chinese slaves. Congress is not made up of volunteers. Public hospitals don’t run on donations.
However, you can walk instead of riding a gas powered vehicle. Buy only food and grocery staples (not taxed). Don’t work, live of the government’s dime. Go dumpster diving. No taxes.🤣😈

I'll give you that the polls show the Clown polling ahead of Biden, but, let me point out two things. One: both are polling UNDER 50%. Two: other elected presidents polled behind the eventual loser at this stage of an election run.
If that’s your argument, remember that I said the same thing about the Clown at the 3 yr mark of his presidency and so did thousands too. So many that he lost in 2020.
We blame the divided Congress, a right leaning Supreme Court, and world events that we can’t control for many, if not most, of our problems. Admit it, your Repucker party can’t even agree on anything in their own Congressional caucus, let alone pass any worthwhile bills to ease the economic life of the working man. And what do you want to bring to the table? A candidate that the best that can be said about him is that he married a foreigner. A man that has 94 active indictments against him. A man that is accused of being a seditionist. A man that tried to negate the vote of millions of people in the 2020 election.
And what are we bringing in? Uncle Joe, not the best choice for a Democratic candidate, but one with experience and one that is trying hard to do good for the country and not for himself.

The Clown walks into a stadium full of football fans and that makes him popular? Right! 💩💩💩👿

By CAT 27,Nov,23 17:29
Do you believe this? Are you saying taxes are not needed? The last time I’ve checked, the average person’s paycheck has a taxable rate of 16% out of which a good chunk gets returned when he files his tax return. The RICH are the ones that complain but, they are a minority and so, they push the idea that you are being overtaxed so YOU will do the complaining. There’s a lot of PORK in the budget and a lot is because of the Repucker’s Congress

By CAT 27,Nov,23 17:01
Phart, if houses don’t sell it’s because of two things, either the prices are too high (speculators) or buyers don’t have the down payment. Either way, the status quo stays the same. The seller has a home and so does the buyer. BTW, look up new home construction in South and Central Florida and you’ll see house sales are going through the roof. If cars aren’t selling, same as houses. Price/ money available is the same. And if the grading company is laying people off, they can go to work at any of those places you’ve been complaining about not being able to get workers. The unemployment rate is below 4%. Gas in my area is at a 5yr low. The only things that are affecting everyone is food prices and medical costs including insurance.
Food is controlled by private industry and the same with medical costs. What do you propose? Have the Feds subsidize both of those? That would be “welfare” and you know how the Repucker Congress thinks about that.

No Change in George Floyd’s Cause of Death, Despite Viral False Claims
By Saranac Hale Spencer

Posted on November 6, 2023 on FACT-CHECK

The police officer who kept his knee on George Floyd’s neck for about nine minutes in 2020 was convicted
of murder, and the medical examiner determined that police efforts to subdue Floyd caused his death. Nothing
about the autopsy’s findings have changed, but social media posts falsely claim new documents show Floyd
died of a drug overdose or natural causes.

Full Story
George Floyd, a Black man, was killed on May 25, 2020, after a white police officer,
Derek Chauvin, kneeled on Floyd’s neck during an arrest in Minneapolis for about nine
minutes while Floyd said repeatedly that he couldn’t breathe. The incident sparked protests
and riots across the country. Chauvin was subsequently convicted of murdering Floyd.

The county medical examiner who conducted the autopsy listed Floyd’s death as a homicide
and determined that the cause was “cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement
subdual, restraint, and neck compression.”
This finding was highlighted in the first set of charges leveled against Chauvin in May 2020
and was explained in detail by the medical examiner, Dr. Andrew Baker, during Chauvin’s trial.

“The top line of the cause of death is really what you think is the most important thing that precipitated
the death. Other things that you think played a role in the death but were not direct causes get relegated
to what’s known as the ‘other significant conditions’ part of the death certificate,” Baker said at the trial,
explaining why Floyd’s other health conditions weren’t included in his cause of death.

“So, the other significant conditions are things that played a role in the death, but didn’t directly cause
the death,” Baker said. “So, for example, Mr. Floyd’s use of fentanyl did not cause the subdual or neck
restraint; his heart disease did not cause the subdual or the neck restraint.” Nothing new has emerged
in the medical examiner’s findings. But recently posts have been circulating on social media falsely
claiming that new court documents show Floyd was not murdered and, instead, died of a drug overdose.
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson also posted a video to his X account on Oct. 20 in which he says,
“George Floyd, according to the official autopsy, was not murdered. He died instead of what we used to
call natural causes, which in his case would include decades of drug use, as well as the fatal concentration
of fentanyl that was in his system on his final day.”

That’s not true. Floyd’s autopsy report hasn’t changed. It shows Floyd had fentanyl in his system when he
died, but determined his death was caused by action taken by police that resulted in cardiac arrest.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed to us in a phone interview on Nov. 3 that no
changes have been made. Experts at Chauvin’s trial also said the evidence doesn’t support the idea that
he had died of an overdose, as USA Today reported.

And what was so wrong with this country that a failed embezzler was needed to bring his Hitlerism to our land? You, Tecsan, are an adult with enough years under your belt. We’re tired of paying for Florida’s pointless fights over drag shows |
Opinion BY THE MIAMI HERALD EDITORIAL BOARD NOVEMBER 22, 2023 9:19 AM

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis lost another round in court last week when the U.S. Supreme Court refused to reinstate the state’s anti-drag show law, on hold pending a court case. But you know who else lost? We did — the taxpayers of this state.

Because every time DeSantis uses our hard-earned taxpayer money to defend another one of his ill-conceived and self-serving laws — the ones he had hoped to ride all the way to the White House — that’s money and time the state won’t be spending on important issues that might do some actual good in the world. By the end of 2022, the state had spent at least $17 million in legal fees defending culture-wars laws, and the 2023 budget included almost $16 million just for litigation.

REAL CHALLENGES

Meanwhile, real problems go begging for attention. Like fixing our insurance crisis so middle-class homeowners aren’t forced out of the state. Or helping us prepare for climate change so we don’t get swamped with every storm.

By CAT 22,Nov,23 14:10
Christianity, wow, I have so many mixed emotions and beliefs.
I do believe in a God. It doesn't make sense that there's not one.
As a Christian, I pray to Jesus, but, in periods of meditation, I
acknowledge that it's my way to put a name to that God. I also
know that I take comfort in believing there's more to my humanity
than some flesh and bones that got thrown together by some
whim of nature. Do I believe in Immaculate conception? I’d like to,
but, I can’t. Do I believe in the resurrection? That’s a tough one.
Why?Because, as a Christian, I believe that Jesus is the Son of
God, but no more than a good man and, perhaps, just that much more.
I believe there’s more to our being after death. I have to believe this.
I don’t believe in heaven or hell. Whatever comes after death is something
but……..what? I don’t know, God help me.
I understand how people need to believe they have a protector who
is responsible for being, but, I also believe that religion is responsible
for more pain and suffering, more death and injustice, than anything
or anyone else’s fault. No religion is blameless, certainly not Christianity.
What I really hate is how people push their views disguised as part of
their religion when, in reality, it’s no more than a self-serving agenda.
I’ve traveled in poor countries and one thing that screams at me that
religion is not as Godly as it claims to be, and in this case, Christianity,
is that in every poor village, the local priest is very well fed and prosperous
while the parishioners are poor and starving.
Anyway, I understand the deniability of a supreme being. I, personally, can’t
agree with that.

By CAT 22,Nov,23 12:48
That’s the whole thing. A man that doesn’t feel or act like a man would feel uncomfortable acting like a man. This doesn’t mean he wants to be a woman either. He might want to be an “it”. However, if he has feelings and wants of a woman, then he would act on what he knows about women. Take the big one, he likes men in every sense of the word. He knows women dress in different clothes from a man. Women wear makeup. He doesn’t know how it feels to menstruate or be pregnant, be he does know about it. He knows he would like to experience those. From a small child he likes to crossdress, play with dolls, act in a feminine way. He will NEVER be a woman despite hormone treatments and surgery, but, it will bring him to a point he will consider himself a quasi-woman. As you can see, he doesn’t need to know how a woman feels. All he knows is he wants to be LIKE a woman. BTW, there are many women that don’t want to be pregnant or are unable to be pregnant. That takes away the childbirth experience. There’s women that for medical reasons don’t have periods either. For whatever it’s worth, my last menstruation was 31 yrs ago when, due to cancer, I had a complete hysterectomy. These reasons don’t stop a woman from being a woman nor are they the main metrics for defining what a woman is.
Like I keep saying, “You just don’t get it.”
Women do not speak in code. At most, a man needs to learn to LISTEN.

By CAT 22,Nov,23 09:46

BULLSHIT!!! Taking undisclosed favors from people that have business with the court has always been illegal. I don't care if Soros or Trump, or Freddy Krueger bring in the allegations. It's wrong and no amount of diverting the chat to some real or imagined left wing conspiracy will change that. It's not trying to frame someone if it's true.
BTW. Soros may be a billionaire but he's one of the biggest phylanthropist in the world. He tries to do good with his money.

By CAT 21,Nov,23 09:26
I don't care who's money they use. If a Supreme Court Justice is crocked, it doesn't matter who brings it to the light. That's true for any judge or government official.

By CAT 21,Nov,23 09:24
Again, you just don't get it.
