Since no one has answered in all these years I'll have a go. First of all, a PA (Prince Albert) is a piercing in the region of the frenulum. It's a short piercing through thin flesh on the underside of the glans and it heals quickly. The wall of the urethra is pierced and usually a ring is worn that enters through the piercing and exits through the meatus (piss slit). A PA can be converted into an apadravya (APA) by making another piercing through the upper side of the glans and inserting a straight barbell through both the PA hole and the new hole. With the correct size barbell you end up with one ball on the underside and one on the upper side of the glans. If you insert a ball closure ring through the new piercing (the upper part of the apadravya) so that it emerges at the top of the glans and enters through the urethral meatus you get a reverse PA. You can wear a PA and a reverse PA at the same time if you have an apadravya piercing. Another glans piercing is the ampallang, which is similar to the apadravya but goes horizontally through the glans, while the apadravya goes vertically. An ampallang may or may not pierce the urethra but an apadravya (and therefore also a PA and reverse PA) always does.
