Men's Underwear. Boxers vs. Briefs, which do you prefer?

Hello everyone,

I wear men's colored, tight, fly-front briefs daily. Personally, I doubt if I'll ever find myself not wearing briefs. I don't think I'll find myself wearing boxers or boxer-briefs again. Both choices are the same kind of underwear to me. I don't like wearing bikinis of any kind or thongs either, but I have tried both. My cock needs support, and there's never enough room to breathe in bikini (string or not) anyway. The low/mid-cut, colored, fly-front brief is definitely my brief of choice.

I prefer going commando if I can (I did so for a couple of years fulltime...now only evenings and weekends). If I wear underwear, tanga briefs are the most comfortable- max suppprt with min coverage and they don;'t ride up my backside; for gym and sports a jockstrap keeps everything snug...I don't like my tackle bouncing around then.

Well, I sorta agree with you, but it depends on the guy and the pants he's wearing. Some guys look really sexy in boxers. I agree that they should not be worn with jeans, but with a suit they are really fine, especially if they are silk. It's like going commando under your suit and that's exciting. I find that I don't really need to wear anything - even with shorts. My equipment usually contracts to a small compact package which has no need for support. Even at school I did not wear a jockstrap. In fact it took me a while to realise why other boys wore them.

I'm with you all the way about not wearing underpants with shorts. Underpants should never be worn with shorts, especially gym shorts or short shorts. I don't like to be constricted, but don't like boxers or most boxer briefs. The only underwear I have found that I really like are called obviously for men. They are a light weight very breathable fabric and are the only ones I've found so far with a pouch to support with out squishing or being uncomfortable.

I wore jockey style briefs most of my life; now prefer boxers for comfort letting things hang naturally. I have a problem recently with the new "no gap" boxers that must be designed by old maids that must think a man's penis sprouts out of his belly halfway between the crotch and belly button. Compared to some old boxers I am replacing because the elastic waistbands are all stretched out, I measured 9 inches from waistband to bottom of the fly on the old ones, 7 inches on the new; I have to push the fly down 2 inches to reach my cock and can only reach inside with 4 fingers because the fly is so short. The bottom of the fly is 2 inches above the crotch; I don't know about yours, but I'll bet your cock sprouts from the bottom of your crotch like mine. I left a complaint on the Hanes website and have found another brand of boxers that have a longer fly, but still sewn a couple inches above the crotch. These are fuller than Hanes or Fruit, and feel much like going commando in full shorts. I think the major underwear companies need to hire a well-hung man to design boxers.

Try the silk boxers from WinterSilks (WinterSilks.com). They cost a bit more than department store boxers but are definately worth it. They are cut more fully and have slightly longer legs that drape nicely inside the legs of suit pants or dress pants (I only wear them with a suit or dress pants). The silk fabric feels good on the skin so it feels like you're going commando under your suit. Plus they are a lot more durable than department store silk boxers and stand up to repeated laundering. So even though they cost more at the outset, they are more economical in the long run.
