I tried the cloneawilly but it didn't work very well. The jell setup too fast, before I could stir all the lumps out. I just got some molding jel at Snobby Lobby. Helps to have a friend to help keep you hard thru the process.
You dont need to buy a kit. I made a mold once using plaster of paris and a cardboard tube taped closed. It sets quickly and keeps amazing detail. I then filled the cavity with resin which sets quite quickly and broke the plaster off the resin cast without too much trouble. The plaster sets hard after a while so you should not take too long with this. You could also use modelling latex to cast a latex copy but that takes a while to set properly. Modelling latex is quite cheap too.

Mix the rubber and catalyst, stir thoroughly until
the mixture is a uniform color, and pour it into
the mold (if you've already made a solid mold
of your cock), and gently vibrate the mold to remove
trapped air bubbles... it cures in 18-24 hours.
I let it cure solid for 4 days before demolding it.
I made my first dildo from scratch, a basic
cut cock shape, about 6 inches with a wide girth;
but it had pin holes in the surface due to trapped
air bubbles that I didn't tap out the first time.
But still, as a finalized dildo it felt so good!
Not too hard, and not too soft, just dildo-Right!
Next time when I have the patience and the cash
I'll try the Clone-A-Willie kit.
One of the issues to be aware of is getting pubic hair stuck in the alginate as it sets..you then either have to cut yourself free or rip it away
It is also quite tricky to get the full length of an erection or flaccid penis into to the alginate as you don't want it to start to pour out of the container holding it. I didn't really manage that. I have meant to have another try learning from my first attempt but haven't done so yet.
