You ate 3 or 4 WHOPPERs at one sitting when you were a teen? Gee, I wonder if young people could actually afford to eat like that at today's prices?

I remember when I was maybe 10 years old, belonged to the YMCA, and you had to swim nude, even adult men had to swim nude.
That probably would not happen at the YMCA today!

– I Remember You

Was it in Tahiti, were we on the Nile
Long long ago say an hour ago
I recall that I saw your smile
I remember you-ooh
You're the one who made my dreams come true
A few kisses ago

I remember you-ooh
You're the one who said "I love you, too"
Yes, I do, didn't ya know?

I remember, too, a distant bell and stars that fell
Like the rain out of the blue

When my life is through
And the angels ask me to recall
The thrill of it all
Then I will tell them I remember you-ooh

I remember, too, a distant bell and stars that fell
Just like the rain out of the blue

When my life is through
And the angels ask me to recall
The thrill of it all
Then I will tell them I remember, tell them I remember
Tell them I remember you

I had to Google this song and it looks like it has been sung by so many. I remember my mother singing this song so very long ago and it brings back so many fond memories. I find her still singing and humming this tune.

When my life is through
And the angels ask me to recall
The thrill of it all
Then I will tell them I remember, tell them I remember
Tell them I remember you........

I found the song, the name Slim Whitman sounds familiar but when I listened to the YouTube offerings, this version sounds more familiar.

i remember when Tayto crisps cost 2p a pack. And the Dandy was 4p.
By bella! [Ignore] at 09,Mar,15 23:38 other posts
What is the 'p' in 2p and 4p? A penny? A peso? And what is a Dandy????
By #396572 at 10,Mar,15 19:01
p is penny, multiple pence. In these days 12 pence made a shilling and 240 pence made a pound. My pocket money if i remember rightly was 5p a week. Dandy was my favourite comic with Korky the cat, Bully Beef and Chips, Desperate Dan and so on. My **** was a Beano fan, meaning Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx and the Bash Street Kids.

I remember my Dad throwing beer cans in our pool on the 4th of July and they would sink to the bottom. That's how He served the beer at the party to guests who wanted a beer. They had to jump in the pool and dive for one.

l remember when my phone number was 3 numbers and you turned the handle and spoke to the operator to put your call through, l remember when the cattle truck had a manual arm you used as a turning signal and stop signal, l remember going to the shops and booking up your purchases, theyd write it in a book and charge you at the end of the month for your groceries, butcher, hardware and pharmacy...l remember not having to wear a seat belt the cars didn't have any, my car seat was hooked onto a front bench seat, the gear stick was on the steering column and there was a small quarter window on the front, we'd leave our key in the ignition and never locked a door or window...those were the days *lix*
