Douglas, I have this add on "Do Not Track Plus" , on google chrome and firefox, and don't have this pop up problem. Give it a try, who knows.

You can block it with Adblock plus. Just go there with the mouse, right click, then chose "adblock plus: block graphic" (or something like that, dunno what it actually says in english).

Usually you should chose the first blocking option.

That way you can block almost everything

As I see it, it's if you want to share the site's link with others on social networks like facebook etc. The bookmark option is if you wanted to save SYD/SYC to your internet browser favourites. I found that it only popped up when moving around close to the tab with the mouse pointer, so I try to keep away from that area.
